A playful book about the daily life of a teddy bear. Louis is a great book for literally everyone. This book is totally relatable. 😂Rated very highly by my 10 month old daughter who constantly goes and grabs it from her mini bookshelf, opens it, and points and babbles at the bear.She recommends you purchase a copy!

Cute book. My son loved it.

Tied up with a bright red bow, this adorable story of Louis, a bear with attitude and not a few grips about how he is being treated, is a giggle worthy addition to any bookshelf. Filled with wink, wink, nod, nod idioms and lush with hilarious illustrations that have Louis looking right at you, this book is Corduroy with an attitude! Great for kids who carelessly toss around their toys with little concern for exactly how that makes their toys feel! Better read this one before, like Louis, all your toys consider “making like a tree and leaving”!

I imagined the perspective of illustrator Julie Rowan-Zoch seeing author Tom Lichtenheld’s words for the first time. Page by page I pictured the story with text only, being brought to life by Julie Rowan Zoch’s art. Julie’s interpretations are kid-relatable, laugh-loud funny, and warm. Educators will enjoy talking about point-of-view and can contrast the POV of the boy and the teddy bear. Young readers can talk about feelings and how they can read Bear’s body language to know why he is upset. The turning point of the story when Bear makes his big decision will make a great class discussion. Through humor and high kid appeal, Lichtenheld and Rowan-Zoch teach kids empathy for their Bears, stuffed animals, and maybe for each other too.

Such a cute little book. Easy read with underlying lessons about friendship. Buying a few copies to give as gifts
