Great light duty job site saw.
I’ve had a portable Ridgid table saw for 15 years. Surprisingly it still worked. But the little problems were so numerous it was time to upgrade. I have a bunch of other Dewalt 20 and 60 volt tools and my wife and I now live completely off grid. So I thought this would be a natural fit for both my construction job and off grid life. The saw is still new at only one month. So it’s hard to say how many his review will stand after a few years. But I’ve had it on a few jobs and it’s performed wonderfully. The battery lasts longer than expected; this is probably due to the thin 8.5 inch blade. The stop feature is fast to engage also helping to elongate battery life. The accuracy is plus 1/16 of an inch while using the onboard tape measure. For the price, I feel it should have some kind of simple stand or folding legs. But that’s me just getting picky. There is a $200 rolling stand one could purchase as well as much cheaper off-brand stands.I would have liked to see this as a 120 volt tool (2x60 watt batteries) that has a plug in option; like the 12 inch Dewalt miter saw.At the end of the day, this is an expensive tool. But it’s worth has proven worth the price so far.

Convenient and powerful
Saves me a ton of time setting up and breaking down everyday. Amazingly convenient not having to worry about popping a breaker, or finding a close outlet. Works just as well as my corded dewalt saw.

Not as strong as it should be!
I love the lightweight design and versatile plan..It just lacks the power of 120 volt plug in

One year review.
Occasionally you can get this table saw for under $400/ with the two battery version, usually from Home Depot. And you will absolutely need the two battery version.I would classify this table saw as heavy duty not light, because with full batteries it can easily cut through white oak, long cuts and crosscuts. For treated and untreated pine, it cuts without slowing down. And for plywood, which is the majority of cuts I do, it will cut cleanly but a thicker 60 tooth DeWalt all purpose blade is practically required. While this is classified as a job site saw by DeWalt, I would also consider this a precision cutter for cabinet pieces. It can be extremely precise with feather boards and its rack and pinion, along with its ability to adjust all relevant settings. The major feature I bought this saw for was the electric brake that stops the blade in about a second. I had a circular saw that had no brake and didn't realize how insanely dangerous they are until I bought a better one, and table saw aren't different. You need an electric brake. The second safety feature is the ability to remove the battery when you need to put your hand inside the machine. A dead tool is a safe tool. Finally, consider that this is a table saw that you can take with you where generally you'd use a circular saw and some awkward cuts. This saw, the DeWalt oscillating multi-tool, and a drill will get most jobs down at a very high finishing level, and usually with the fewest cuts and the least mistakes.

Table saw stand. Won't fit.
This saw is nice but if you buy the stand you will need to drill the saw holes out. The bolts are to big to go through the saw. Starting to get disturbed at Dewalts on line ordering. Had to throw their new chain saw in the garbage wouldn't run. As soon as hit would it quit.
