This was a suggested book for Calculus 1 at my grandson's school. He had a lot of difficulty with the first Calculus class he took, but he says this book is helping him. So far he is passing the class.

The book is in a very good condition, actually new! Besides it is very helpful. I highly recommend having this book along with the Calculus book. This one helps to understand concepts.

This solutions manual was definitely helpful with certain problems, but I'm VERY disappointed that only the odd numbers are given. I figured since I'm buying a whole other thing apart from the actual text book that I would get ALL the solutions. This leads me to believe that the only purpose for this solutions manual is to charge students for a whole other book. So if your teacher requires this, or you're deciding on wether or not to get this, just know what you are in for, you still get only the odd numbers for an $80 solutions manual.

The book is everything I needed, though it doesn't explains the steps, it does show you the steps and the correct answer.

Great for self help...but there are other online help which is free n should be tried before buying this book

This book is so helpful. It works out odd numbered problems. It only goes up to chapter 11.

This is largely what you would expect from a solutions manual, only odd problems, broken down into consecutive steps. As some have mentioned, there are rarely explanations, but imo that is largely unnecessary. What I do take issue with is how this is titled and sold. Stewart's 8th edition calculus book covers calculus I, II, & III, i.e. single variable and multivariable calculus. This solution manuals only covers calc I and II while the second one only covers calc III. Yes, this is technically in the title, calc I and II are single variable (for the most part) and calc III is multivariable, HOWEVER almost no students who are just starting calculus are going to pick up on that detail, and as a result they are going to find themselves paying for two expensive solutions manual instead of just the one they thought they needed, which could have led them to choosing a cheaper, or at least alternative option.

Pretty useless because original has answers in the back, however it is greatly organized and right under the problem and it’s very clear. In addition it’s 100$ cheaper than original, great buy nevertheless!

Book is great! Answers each problem thoroughly!

Has the steps for each solution which are easy to follow and understand. Only thing that would make it better is if it included all problems, but it only includes the odd numbered problems
