Life saver!
I would most recommend this seat for a small toddler. The hole is very small, but perfect for a 2 year old - probably not a 3 year old.Size:The first thing I love about this seat is how compact it folds. It folds in half (front to back) then in half again (side to side). It was shipped with a ziploc that is great for traveling with it. I always us a sanitary wipe to wipe it off after use and before putting it in the ziploc. It obviously easily fits in my diaperbag, but it also fits in my purse!Comfort:My toddler felt very comfortable using this seat and would use the "big potties" when we were out and about. As she started to get bigger (and heavier) it sagged a little from the extra weight. I'm not sure if it has a recommended weight. I would say it held her well until she got to be around 33lbs.Convenience:We had to get a urine sample from my toddler at the doctor's office when she was potty training. SUPER difficult! However, with this seat it was possible! I didn't have to support her and hold the cup for the what seemed like forever amount of time it took.Tip:There are little plastic "flaps" that come down in the front of the seat. You can see them in the picture. Those flaps are supposed to rest in front of the real toilet seat, not on the toilet seat. My husband was really confused about that when he first put it on a toilet. The flaps seem to make the seat more secure and keep the seat in one place. There are also little pads under the seat to keep it from sliding around.Overall, this seat was completely worth the purchase. It meant that pregnant me did not have to hold a toddler over a dirty public toilet while chanting "go pee pee!"

Good enough.
I use this portable potty seat w/ my newly trained 3yo. It folds up nicely and can fit in the diaper bag or even my purse. Like others have stated you have to position this seat at the very front of the toilet, w/ the lip hanging over the front of the toilet. Not like seats you use at home that sit in the middle of the toilet seat. When positioned properly the seat will not slip and it works fine. I've found it to be a little flimsly with the rear portion sagging down a bit when my son sits on it, but over all it has been perfectly adequate for our use.For the price, definitely worth it for a child who isn't quite up to the regular toilet yet.

fantastic, safe potty seat
I bought this seat for my 2.5 year old daughter to keep in the diaper bag and use when we're out and about. I had read the reviews on a bunch of seats and thought that this looked the most promising. We LOVE it. It works really well as long as you keep in mind that it's not designed to completely cover the toilet seat. It perches on the front of the seat and there is often open space above the toilet bowl behind the seat. But if you keep the front lip aligned with the front rim of the toilet seat, there's no problem with it wobbling or bending. Our daughter is about 30-35 pounds and we've used this on dozens of different toilets now of all makes, models, and sizes (shopping malls, museums, airplanes, camping, port-a-potties, etc.) without a single problem.Pros:this seat fits any and every toiletit won't pinch my daughters bottom because of the way the hinges are designedit folds up really compactly and fits easily in my handbag or diaper bagCons:the only one that I can think of is that although it's advertised to come with a carrying case, it's really just a cheap ziplock bag. I keep our seat folded up in a waterproof zippered bag (like you can use for cloth diapers or wet swimsuits)--that way I can just toss it in the laundry and wash it after we've been someplace gross. This is a GREAT toilet seat for traveling.

Does the job, good value
I read many of the reviews for this folding seat, and I have to echo what others are saying about how -- if you read the instructions -- it couldn't be simpler to use. We haven't met a toilet seat that this won't work on when used as intended.Yes, it is slightly flimsy for my 30-pound toddler, but we both find it sturdy enough that it feels safe and secure for use several times a week. I believe the first time or two that we used it, I was a little bit surprised to see it bend a small amount under my daughter's weight, but after a month of repeated use, I trust that it will support her just fine and won't pinch her as long as we take care to place it on the toilet the correct way.We put down a disposable seat cover so that the front edge of the cover drapes over the toilet seat and the front of the bowl (or toilet paper if there are no covers), and then put the folding seat down on top of that. And if you do slide it so that its front edges are placed right up against the front edge of the toilet seat, then help your child sit down, it stays in place just fine. I'm sure that if my daughter climbed up there herself it might shift around. I help her, so that it won't shift. It's a $9 seat that's foldable, portable, and does the job it's intended to do. Money well spent.
