Tasting Olive Oil like Wines
If your view of olive oil is that it is for cooking and every olive oil is the same, this olive oil can break some of your stereotypes. Just like wines, there are many varieties of olives and different locations to grow them and different weather each year that affects how those olives grow.I really like the idea that this olive oil is 100% from Chile, not the first place people think of when they think of Olive Oil but certainly has the ability to create interesting products. This particular olive oil has a really great unique flavor. I like how it has a little bit of a bite but also has a buttery feel to it. With the price at $30 a bottle it is one that you'll want to use in places where the flavor will come through such as dressings, drizzling on fries or pasta and of course for dipping.Overall, very happy with "M By MORE - ICONO Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16.9 fl oz-Variety: Intense Fruity Frantoio/Sevillana-Low Acidity ≥ 0,2 %-Kosher-100% Chilean(Atacama Desert)-GOLD MEDAL for "Best oil in Latin America", really enjoy the flavor!

Beautifully Presented, But Somewhat Bitter Aftertaste
I was very excited to try this M By MORE - ICONO Extra Virgin Olive Oil. When it arrived, the 500ML bottle felt substantial and looked beautifully presented. After opening the bottle, I sampled the oil with some French bread. The olive oil's color looked rich against a white plate so I was hoping it would be very flavorful. I found the initial taste quite good, with a peppery olive taste. But then I detected a bitterness in the aftertaste. I sampled more of the oil with the same results before deciding to pair this with some balsamic vinegar. The combination definitely helped reduce the bitterness. Overall, I enjoyed this M By MORE ICONO Olive Oil, but will only be using it combined with balsamic vinegar or another condiment that will lessen the bitter aftertaste.

Excellent flavor; great for dressings and drizzling
I'm impressed with the taste of this olive oil. I've never had olive oil from Chile before and, if this is representative of the area, it won't be the last time. Excellent flavor -- much more pronounced than lower cost olive oils (which is what I usually get). It makes a big difference when used in dressings, drizzles, or anything where the oil is front and center. It also works well (in terms of enhanced flavor) when it's not the primary flavor, such as using it for sautéing or when making doughs. The bottle is very nice and of high quality. It came encased in bubble wrap which I think was put on by the manufacturer since it was heat shrunk to the bottle. It offered great protection in transit. It's pricey but not terribly so compared with other higher-end oils, and the taste is certainly premium. Very enjoyable!

Potent bitter notes - I hope you really love olives, and not just the canned black ones!
I've always loved olives, all sorts, so this olive oil is fantastic! My spouse will stick with the milder varieties. The M By MORE - ICONO Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made using a mix of Arbequinoa, Calamata and Frantoio olives. It's not just fruity, rather it's particularly bitter and a bit spicy. We did a taste test using four different bottles of EVOO. This one stands out far from the rest. You don't want to use this unless you want this flavoring to your food. It's not going to sit in the background. I make baked goods with EVOO, but this will not work for that. It's wonderful on fresh baked bread, and it would do well on salad. Use your imagination. The oil comes beautifully packaged in a dark glass bottle. I'm very happy with this EVOO, and I know it's all for me and my younger child - husband won't be touching it! Yum!! Great stuff!

Doesn't taste all that good
I opened the bottle and tried a taste. I didn't like it. Perhaps if I had put a piece of bread into the oil in a dish it would have been better. Testing it out tonight as a cooking oil.

Tastes great on its own
I read some of the earlier reviews on this product and I didn't taste and spiciness that a lot of the reviews mention, perhaps my palate is not as refined as others. I think this olive oil tastes rich and fairly heavy on the olive taste, which I love. This is one that we'll set aside for drizzling or dipping bread in vs using as a cooking oil.

Great for Salads!
I like to put olive oil on salads, and this one is a perfect one to use. It is a light oil and slightly fruity tasting to me. Other olive oils I have tried are very heavy and almost greasy tasting, while this is lighter. I am always wary of purchasing foods in glass bottles for fear that they will break in transit; however, the bottle was well-packaged in bubble wrap, and even though it arrived with other items I had ordered, it was very secure. If you like a light oil with a light flavor, this is a great olive oil to try! It’s one of my favorites!

Flavorful and tasty oil.
This is a wonderful oil. It is rich in flavor and has a nice mouth feel. I have used this to prepare a number of dishes and have been thrilled with the taste each and every time. This outshines many other olive oils I have used. It makes each meal feel like a luxury even when paired with the simplest of ingredients.
