So incredibly impressed...
As I get up there in age, lately I've been thinking, I don't have much to remember my family. Mostly some old low quality pictures. No ones fault, technology was just not there years ago. Not like it is now. So I've been on a mission to start preserving family and memories for my kids, grand kids and maybe even great grands, ect. Month or so ago I bought the DJI Mini 2 drone and was just blown away by it's quality and features. I noticed DJI had this camera and I knew I could count on it being very good. And it is. So good. I am no photography expert, so not going to say it's the best or anything. But for me, for preserving family memories it's just incredible. I love how small and light weight this camera is. Fits in your hand, you could even put it in your pocket. Power it on, push the record button and you are in business. So easy to use! So far it's had great stabilization. Perfect point and record camera. The video this takes is fantastic. We've been playing the videos on our 65" 4K bravia tv and it's an awesome. Looks so good with great colors and clarity. Could not be happier. I have not learned all it can do, so really excited to discover all the features. I only have one very small negative, though not totally a negative. I find the do all handle very difficult to take off. But for me it's a good permanent attachment and rarely have any reasons to take it off. I also wish the battery life was better, but it is recording 4K. And there are power bank attachments. One tip... if you do buy this camera, be sure to get the thumb wheel attachment, it is SO much better than the default toggle and it adds more functions right at your finger tips. If you are on the fence with one, get it, you won't be sorry. Highly recommend.

Great Quality
I am absolutely impressed with the outstanding quality of this camera. Not only does it deliver exceptional performance, but it is also incredibly easy to use, making it suitable for users of all levels of expertise. Its simplicity and compact size allow it to effortlessly fit into any pocket, ensuring convenience and portability. While the battery life is decent, I decided to enhance its longevity by purchasing an additional portable battery. This way, I can confidently capture all my desired shots without worrying about running out of power. This combination of the camera's built-in battery and the portable battery pack has proven to be a winning solution for extended shooting sessions. I was thrilled to receive my camera in perfect condition, with no signs of damage or defects. The attention to detail in the packaging and the overall presentation further underscored the product's quality. This level of care and attention is a testament to the manufacturer's commitment to customer satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend this camera to anyone in need of a high-quality, user-friendly option. It is not only an excellent choice for beginners looking to explore their photography skills but also a fantastic companion for travel enthusiasts. Its compact size, exceptional performance, and durability make it an ideal choice for capturing stunning memories wherever your adventures take you.

Not perfect, but highly functional, remotely controllable, cinematographic 4k stabilizing platform
One of the best handheld gimbals available! This is not a perfect product, but it is a well made, high quality, small, stabilizing 4k video platform that shoots wide enough angle, zooms, has good battery life, & will probably suit your needs if you are looking for something like it. It is a great product. One major drawback, especially if you are not familiar with editing software and plan to use this in multi camera edits, it records multiple files for each recording! If you record a 30 minute video you will get five or six individual video clips . This may or may not be a big deal, but it is definitely an annoyance at best and something I wish I had known before diving into the platform. You Must use the companion app to set up, And the display screen is so small and touch screen controls are so difficult, that you likely will want to use your phone or other mobile device for controls and viewfinder . Fortunately, the companion app really is quite nice and works very well and it is quite easy to clamp your phone onto some type of accessory that holds the camera and phone such that it’s not too big of an inconvenience. For quick impromptu shooting, it’s kind of a pain to always have to turn on your phone and connect to the camera and so you will end up using the onboard controls and screen at least some of the time and they are annoying at best to use, but if you are patient, it does perform the function of capturing great quality cinematographic up to 4k video up to 60 fps. It works best as an auxiliary additional camera to add in to your setup if you already have a Main DSLR, and use this gimbal camera for specifically shots that you just cannot get with a stationary interchangeable lens DSLR because of their size and lack of remotely controllable, stabilizing, & tracking gimbal. I believe that is how it is intended to be used. I originally purchased it while my main camera was broken and it really did not work all that well as a main camera, and I was extremely happy to have my main camera come back online and when I was able to start using the pocket two as an additional camera, just to get both another angle for multicam videos as well as shots that a DSLR cannot get, I became quite pleased with its functionality and performance, but it isn’t suited, and just doesn’t lend itself well to functioning like a regular camera, and probably most people know that going in but I had never had a gimbal Camera, at least not handheld like this one, but overall, for what it is and what it is intended to be used for, it really is an awesome little device. One note, I would definitely either get the creator combo or purchase the do it all handle accessory as well as the wireless microphone accessory that come with the creator combo because they work extremely well with the camera and I cannot imagine using it without both of them. Other accessories are nice but those two are absolutely essential in my opinion, both for ease of use as well as performance. If you want the remote functionality & want to add cinematographic shots to your existing abilities, & have the money to spend on the combo, you will not be disappointed, except possibly by the multiple files, Which I cannot find a way to disable, so if anybody does No how to make it record just one file per recording, please comment! Good luck & enjoy

Sadly this device forces you to use your location setting in order to operate it.
So this is a device made by a company that wants to data mine you. I preordered this and was pretty excited to get it because of everything iv read about the first one. I got the device today and set it up, it was not working correctly and I found out you pretty much have to connect it to your phone or you can only use this device 5 times. Yes, they give you a limit to the amount of times you can use a device you paid for. I bought the bundle for 500 dollars and im only allowed to use this device 5 times unless I connect it to my smart phone... okay that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. So once I downloaded the app which is poorly reviewed which you will see on the app store you will see great amount of people who are struggling with the horrible app you are FORCED to use in order to take the 5 time limit away. Well I downloaded the app and then it wanted all of my information EVERYTHING which I said no to and then it just wont let me use the app, it then asks for your location... okay why are you needing my GPS? I am using a video camera that stabilizes …. not liking this one bit. Once I said no to those options it will say you can't use the app, and just keep asking you to accept. Yep, and there is no way around this that I found. Went to the DJI store forums and people are complaining about this exact problem. I understand if this was a drone and you gotta track it but this is a CAMERA that I CARRY AROUND. This company is one that just wants to raid your information and sell it for a quick buck. Seriously DJI you are horrible and you really should fix this problem. Until then this review will stick.

An improvement overall from the first Osmo Pocket
I had the first Osmo Pocket for two years and I really enjoyed it, it had a few downsides though like when a room was even a little dim, you could see visual noise in the footage and photos. Also whether you were outside or inside, the contrast and exposure were sometimes all over the place. The only way to TRY to fix it was to adjust the settings manually for each shot...but even then...there were limitations. This Osmo Pocket 2 is much better in the sense that when I filmed the same dim rooms or low light settings, the camera performed much better with little to no visual noise. The contrast and exposures are much more even. If you're filming a landscape that is in shadow, but there's a bright sky, this Osmo Pocket will adjust the light so you can see the ground and landscape -which is an improvement because the last pocket would adjust for the sky and make the landscape look even darker. The Pocket 2 also has better sound, its clearer and sound tracking allows it so the microphones pick up wherever the camera is pointed. I generally use an external mic, so I'll admit I haven't used the built-in mic features much. The Pocket 2 also starts up faster, but the power button is now a separate button on the side of the camera, be careful not to accidentally press the button when you're taking the camera out of the case or pushing it into the case. Speaking of case, the last Osmo was held into the case with a silicone strap, this one doesn't use a strap, it uses friction...which I think is a bad idea because over time It will wear away at the sides of the camera, making it look bad. I can already tell that's whats going to happen. The camera advertises 4k and HDR.. BUT what they don't tell you is that the HDR is not available on the 4k setting, it is only available on the 1080p setting. That being said, the 4k setting by itself is a vast improvement over the first Pocket, and by doing a bit of color grading in post-production, it could pass for HDR footage. I was a bit confused when I bought it because DJI kept saying this has zoom, but they went back and forth as if it not only possessed digital zoom but also optical zoom. Let me clear that up. THERE IS NO OPTICAL zoom not even 2x optical zoom. It uses digital zoom only, which I personally don't like, so I don't use it. The camera still gets warm when shooting in 4k mode, however it doesn't get nearly as hot as the first Pocket. My first pocket would get so hot the camera would shut down. This one doesn't. At least it hasn't yet. I like the little joy stick that comes with the camera. It allows you to move the gimball without neading to physically move your arm. This is useful for steadycam walking footage where you need to suddenly look up or down without switching to FPV mode. Just use the joystick. It moves the gimball at only 1 speed, but its a slow steady speed which is still good for getting steady footage. It would be cool if DJI incorporated software that allowed it to speed up or slow down from that speed when you push the joystick...but otherwise its a nice feature. If you're new to Osmo Pocket, it is NOT an action cam, and it is NOT a lowlight cam. It's best use is for daytime/sunset vlogging, walking tour, steadycam, or getting high-quality footage in a convenient pocket size. So don't get it wet, and don't try to shoot in near darkness or extreme sports. Everything in your shot is always in-focus, so don't expect the kind of background blurring you get with DSLR's focus. But if you want that kind of blurring, you can do that with Adobe Premiere Pro or Photoshop, so don't worry. I have shot near-DSLR quality footage with this camera and after doing some adjustments in post-production it looks amazing. I highly recommend this camera for vloggers, or for professionals when you need some extra camera work done with convenience. As for the camera, the old pocket advertized a 12 MP camera, this one advertises a 64 MP camera. Normally that would mean the 64 MP would have a resolution almost 5 times the size...but in this case, the resolution is only a little bit bigger, the difference is in the camera's ability to capture detail. I really like this camera, I think its a huge improvement over the original Osmo, for me it is the perfect camera. I personally don't need any other cameras because this one does everything I need it to do. But I know a guy who uses this camera ALONG WITH his DSLR and he gets great footage that he pieces together into a cool video. So try it out. I think you'll like it.

So much fun, my favorite camera period!
At first I was concerned about the activation as another reviewer wrote. I don't like what they ask either but lets get along now. I used this and love using it. With my iPhone 12 Pro Max it is the total package. By itself it is more top heavy to use, but I still enjoy it without my phone. The wireless mic haven't tried it yet, but may where the applications calls for it. I look even for this to be a camera for my Panasonic AG-UX90 professional camcorder. It can mount on my cold shoe, as I get a static shot with the camcorder I can pan and get 2nd perspective shots and merge in post. I have never seen such a wonderful device so small be so big on image and video quality. It gives my Sony a6400 during the day a run for its money. Even my Panasonic is kept honest. During low light is where this camera will falter. Physics folks. But still for on the go, and impromptu video and photography, best camera I have ever seen. Saw a YouTube presenter give one to his kid to learn with. Awesome gift for creating as he grows, this camera continues to entertain for him. More than a smartphone, smaller than anything else, and better than an action camera given its purpose of use. I can't get over how good the audio is too. Wtih 4 mics this thing sounds better than it should. Does it sound better than my iPhone? Maybe, or not, but still unexpected pleasure there too. Some don't even bother with the wireless mic. I love that tripod made of metal and the clever fold out design. The case is genius too keeping it all together in my pants or shirt or coat pocket or backpack. I recommend this for anyone who want to have fun with video and pics. It can't be beat. I have a laugh every time I use it. It just looks like hand held E.T. and makes fun and good video. The gimbal function is tops too. Buy one, just get the regular, most won't need the creators package, but the wifi and wireless mic are nice to have just not a must have for most.

Camera quality is not the issue
The camera appears to be well built and should be easy to carry and use but I don't really know because after about three hours I still cannot use it. It turns on just fine and seems to work but here's the deal. It arrived missing a few minor parts, like the piece you need to connect to a cell phone and the windscreen for the remote microphone. Not a deal breaker, just get those but use the camera while I wait? So, I called Amazon and they could not have been more helpful. They referred me to the camera company who sent me back to Amazon. I am getting the missing parts so now I am back to learning about the camera. I went on the Apple Store and downloaded the application for the camera. That wanted to hook up to my Wi-Fi system but when it attempted to hook up it immediately asked for my password for the camera. As I had not previously set up an account or password, I have no idea what that password might be. I was unable to attach the camera application or the camera to my Wi-Fi. That has still not been resolved. In looking at the documentation for the camera and account I was presented with the usual verbiage you have to agree to and I always read these. What I found was the normal language and the part that said that I had to agree to comply with Chinese law with anything that I might do with the camera, and that if I did not agree with Chinese law they could prosecute me. Given all of the controversy over tik-tok. I would think that would give you some concern using this camera. Next, I decided to download the instruction manual as the camera comes with almost no instructions at all. The instruction manual is actually pretty good and shows you how to use the various parts of the camera. It's a complicated little piece of equipment that takes some learning, but I think some time with the instruction manual and using the camera you can figure it all out. At this point I open the application on my iPhone and discovered something called the DJI Mimo Academy. This is loaded with videos on telling you how to use the camera and giving you examples of things you can do. You would think that would be very useful, and if it was in English instead of Chinese that would probably be true. It does have subtitles, but I can tell you it's very difficult to follow the action they are presenting and read the subtitles. I even did it on a bigger screen so that I can see it better and it still doesn't help. So what we actually have here is a pretty good camera that: 1. Is set up for people in China. 2. That you have to agree to Chinese law to use. 3. It has a screen the size of a US quarter to control the camera (not bad once you know how to use it) 4. What appears to be a very responsive customer service number if you didn't buy the camera through Amazon. 5. and considerable frustration trying to learn how to use this thing and get it all set up. I'm going to persevere and will probably add to this later after I learned how to actually use this little camera. I'm still trying to figure out if it's worth being required to comply with Chinese law on this camera.
