so i must say after looking at the ingredients and trying this product for the first time im very disappointed. basically it looks and smells like corn starch and it bulks together and does NOT mix well. I even tried to mix it with some Exact and still not a good deal. The birds didnt seem to care for it. I will not be buying this again. Hopefully i can find a rescue to give this too as i will not be using anymore.

Bird breeder recommend this formula for my indian ringnecks, fed to my green cheek conures and has worked out great.

I love this formula! (RoudyBush Formula 3 Bird Food) I started feeding my 3 week old parakeets who were not well nourished or getting enough food from mom. When I took over one was very weak and could hardly hold its head up or eat. Within two days both babies were thriving and chirping, and growing more feathers. They absolutely love this formula! I just have to make sure it’s not too hot or cold and not too thick or runny. They even start chirping when they hear me mixing their food getting excited.Win win! I have used this formula for years on sun conures and African grays with great success. It's very digestible and goes thru them fast so you have to feed more frequently when they are young. You have to be sure your formula is not too hot and not too cold. If you use boiling water, you will get a thickend, sometimes lumpy result that works but has to be thinned down. Best to use hot water,not boiling, in a prewarmed pitcher to a fairly thin consistency-not so thick that they have trouble clearing from the throat to breathe. Then I transfer to a small plastic rat/kitten nurser baby bottle with the nipple cut to produce a large bore opening. Works great.

I tried this when I normally go with Kaytee High Fat. The one plus I see is that it's easier to clean off the birds with this stuff. Otherwise I don't think the birds gained as fast as with the Kaytee.

Easy to prepare. Upon opening the product, pour a few cups for a week, keep refrigerated the unprepared formula. The rest keep should be kept in freezer. Otherwise, if kept out of fridge, there appears a quite unpleasant smell in the formula.

My bird don’t like this food is like sticky

All I can say is it works great. It's keeping my 13 year old parrot alive for the past month while I feed her with a 50 cc syringe.. Never had to hand feed for so long. I feed her every 3-4 hrs until Dark. She eats so much in the A.M. I love her and wish she would get better..She had a great vet. Roudybush is keeping her alive. I hope I can continue to feed her. It's costly, but very fair.
