Hi. According to the user guide you can switch/toggle between two cameras but not display them at the same time.

How to hard wire to ignition ?

The head unit uses a cigarette lighter so you can remove it from display. You could hard wire it (with a fuse) but then I personally think it will attract thieves. For the camera you can wire it onto the reversing light power supply. It depends on your car but this should be easily accessible in the boot.

No it doesn't measure width just distance.

No as the as the end of the cable that plugs into the cigarette socket also stops interference for the radio signal, if you remove it won’t work I’ve tried it ,best way would be to get another socket and hard wire it out of the way and plug into it with your camera
