great resource
Just enough , not overwhelming, to the midlevel provider, very precise too. The data boxes and illustrations are food for the soul if your clinical chemistry knowledge is not adequate.

I don't know how I would survive without it!
Seriously what every clinical medical student needs to carry around with them always to interpret your basic blood tests!! Small and light so easily fits into a bag. Each chapter starts off with a short explanation of the underlying physiology behind a specific test (e.g. liver function tests will explain how and why the liver produces specific enzyems). Then it says when and why you need to measure specific blood tests, what you are looking for and when blood tests are abnormal it also explains why. So important both for use on the wards and exams. Everyone medical student should read this book.
