This is my second phone holder, I purchased this one so I can attach my Rode video mic to the cold shoe. Its made of a strong plastic with threaded metal inserts for additional durability. The bluetooth remote makes blogging a lot easier, just takes a moment to set up. The mount easily holds my iphone 11 in a fairly thick case.

I was hoping it would tilt in angles and also it loosens itself sometimes

This tripod phone mount is made from cheap looking and feeling black plastic. The phone is mounted in the stand by unscrewing the jaws of the clamp, rather than the spring clamps that most of these devices employ, which would be much quicker to use, although possibly less secure. Once attached the phone is held securely, and a small adaptor allows for a light to be attached (such as an LED - for lighting your scene. The kit does come with a handy little remote release which pairs to your phone via bluetooth allowing the shutter to be fired remotely.I feel if this was better quality materials it would be worthy of a higher score, but the cheap and tacky feel is hard to overlook.

Good - seems good quality plastic and has metal screws, is very easy to put together, easily accommodates my larger mobile with gel cover on and the icing on the cake is the remote control. Set up was easy - I just turned bluetooth on, on both devices pressed the 'android' button and it paired. Will come in handy when we are out and about and would like a group pic. I'm assuming that downloading their app means it will do other things but for me I'm happy just having a very tiny remote to take pics or record video without having to walk over to the tripod and without downloading anything.Not so good - not able to manipulate up/down, only way I can do this is by altering the tripod legs. Also not able to pan unless you loosen the screw attaching it to the tripod and move your mobile by hand which is a bit risky.Reasonable price but will probably use this less than the one I already have however the remote will get used all the time.

I’ve used similar phone tripod mounts in the past and combined with a remote are really handy tools to have! I was drawn to this one because of the additional mount for a light on top.Mount came in a nice box, but instructions were lacking on how to assemble and then work. Learning how to swivel the mount from portrait to landscape orientation is simple enough, as is working out how to open and close the grip to fit your phone in.Where I struggled was working out how to secure the additional mount on top! The saying goes “lefty loosey, righty tighty”, but that isn’t the case with this section of the mount! I was spinning the wheels round for a while trying to work out how to tighten and secure them to prevent whatever I mounted on top (in my case an LED light) from moving about. I got there in the end, but I could have really done with some instructions to save time.Now that I’ve got it, it will be great for filming video and taking photos when some extra lighting is needed.

I really like this product, it performs a simple task, but it does it really well. It is a clamp which holds a smartphone and allows it to be mounted on a tripod so that the phone's camera can be used for videoing events without the inevitable shake which happens when the phone is just hand-held or alternatively it allows still photographs of group selfies without the rather awkward angles required when holding the phone at arms length and trying to get everyone close enough to ensure they are all included. Of course the tripod isn't included, but if you already have either a miniature or full-size tripod this is a great accessory.It is possible to mount the phone either in portrait or landscape position using the different parts that are included, but its usefulness is increased by the addition of a remote control fob that connects to the phone via bluetooth and allows pictures to be taken without touching the phone, this worked really well with my phone, so long as I remembered to press the right button (there is one for ios and one for Android).The whole kit fits into a small box so it is quite convenient to carry around.
