My husband was stationed over in the Middle East came home with some Turkish/Moroccan lamps this past summer. The sockets were made for European sized bulbs. I bought these keyless sockets along with an electrical cord for US outlets so I could rewire the lamp to work here in the US. It was super easy, these keyless sockets were the perfect size for the small table lamp and the LED bulb I also purchased. They were easy to install and the hot wire went on the brass screw and the neutral/ground wire went around the silver colored screw. The tiny screw on the side held the cardboard insulator in place. The whole process was a breeze.

The light shorted out when it w a s switched on. The cardboard tube solved the situation. Had to modify the tune for fitment but was fairly simple to install.

I made a light fixture using this. It works great for hanging light fixtures.

Delighted I could replace all the crumbly sockets in my vintage entry light fixture. It should now last another 90 years

This set of 6 is reasonably priced, and they fit perfectly into the old tube "candle" stems for our vintage cellophane window wreath decorations. The old black phenolic fixtures that had cracked over time were not safe. These base holders (hidden inside the candle base in my picture of the wreath) do a nice job for that repair/renovation.

I ‘d give 5 stars, but one was defective, and I had already installed it before I found out. But, I only needed 4, and anticipated at least one defective. Otherwise it’s 5 stars.

We used these along with led bulbs we bought on Amazon and some cool liquor bottles to make pendant light over our bar area
