I pass my Praxis II test by studying this book. Review: Cirrus Praxis II PLT 7–12 Study Guide (Paperback ) - Cirrus Praxis II PLT 7–12 Study Guide (Paperback Version) ~ ~I bought the paperback version of this Cirrus study guide to help me prepare for the Praxis PLT 7–12 exam, and I’m really impressed. The physical book makes it easy to highlight, take notes in the margins, and mark important pages for review. The content is well-organized and aligned with the test framework, covering areas like student development, learning theory, and classroom management effectively. I especially liked the practice test in the back—it mimics the real exam and helped me identify areas I needed to improve. The explanations are thorough but not overwhelming, making the book perfect for reviewing both familiar and new material. If you’re someone who learns better with a physical copy and likes to write things down, this version is worth every penny. I definitely recommend this guide as part of your study plan—very helpful and easy to understand!

A good starting point - just be careful!
I purchased this book 1 month before my Praxis test. I did well and passed. I found this book to be a good starting point to refresh my memory and focus my study time. However, I highly recommend doing your own research and purchasing an official ETS practice test on top of what the book includes. The language in this book is often abbreviated instead of conveying for understanding. As an example, having a thorough understanding of foundational theorists was important on both the multiple choice questions and (especially) the essay questions of my test. The sections in the book on theorists provides a paragraph or so for each one. There are very few graphics to show the relationships between ideas or how one influenced another. I would recommend looking up graphics and additional information on the theories described in the book so that you understand specifically what they contributed and can describe them in detail on essay questions. A lot of the questions on both the ETS practice and official test that I took are not straight forward, even if you study this book cover to cover. The actual test often asks you to select the BEST answer among several plausible choices as opposed to just the correct answer (which is how many questions are phrased in this book). On at least one instance I found the information in the book was not aligned with the official practice test that I took. This book is a solid starting point, but be careful and do your own research!

I passed sooo…
I passed and this is the only resource I used. It’s pretty good and thorough. P.s. don’t freak out! This test isn’t too hard. I thought I wasn’t prepared enough and I was 10 points from the highest score. I thought I had failed. Lol. You’ll be fine! Just look over stuff and make some flash cards. Have confidence in yourself. Most of it is common sense. :)

Great resource!
I have enjoyed prepping for my upcoming test with your study guide. It was written well and has great examples to reinforce the ideas being taught. I like that there are practice questions embedded in each chapter as well as a detailed terms section at the end of the chapter.

Passed!
Helped me pass the test. It was my only real way to learn. I never took any classes, just this book and a couple practice tests; passed easily. Thanks!!! Study this stuff hard for a week or two and you'll pass.
