My Most Used Rub
I’ve been using yardbird S my go to rub for years. It’s good on just about everything. Great on eggs, chicken, pork and fish. It’s even good on popcorn.

This is one of my favorite rubs to use on chicken and pork. Absolutely love it.

Not bad
Been experimenting on ribs with this stuff. First, as you already know, ribs have a lot of surface area to meat ratio. That being said, my first go-round was a light dusting...enough to cover, just lightly. The flavor was pretty good but it needed more. My last go-round, a applied a bit more and found it to be a tad salty. So if cooking ribs, I'd add in some brown sugar to bulk it up a bit and cut the salt.-Now I also did a pork butt. This in comparison to ribs has a much bigger meat to surface area ratio and although I added the same amount of rub to it as I did my ribs...the flavor was much more balanced.-So the answer to "is it too salty?"...depends on what you're applying it too, plain and simple.

Best Rub I have ever tried
I have literally tried somewhere near a 100 commercial rubs as well as mixing my own and this stuff is fantastic. It is good on all meat types and enhances each differently. Everyone loves this stuff and is very unique. I would classify this as a savory rub. If you like sweet rubs you may want to try something else.

Good for pork Awsome for chicken
After hours of researching online what was the best store bought rub for ribs I ended up going with this. I've done a few racks now and I'm happy with the outcome, not the best but that's probably because of me, I think I'm putting too much on but anyway. So, since it states right on the bottom of the bottle... Created for chicken but made for pork... So one day I decided to slather a bunch of chicken thighs and quarters with this stuff and throw them on the grill... Mother of God..the best chicken I've ever eaten in my entire life..And I'm NOT KIDDING. In the end i hope i can figure out how to do a better job with the ribs but I'll be buying this stuff from here on out just for my chicken.
