Nice dog coat but, the velcro sucks
The coat is super cute, warm, and soft. The long zip on the back really helps for clipping a leash through it, especially if your dog wears a harness that you clip a leash to instead of a collar. The fit is really good, but the velcro sucks! To be clear I have other dog coats with velcro closures from Ex-Large for 80lbs dogs down to this coat for my 40 lb dog. Of the 7 dog coats I have, this has the worst velcro, it is weirdly smaller hook and loop, catches my dog's hair and I literally have to rip the coat off his hair, he is NOT a fan. The length of the velcro is good to allow for adjustment for different sizes of dogs, hense the reason you would not necessarily line up the velcro closure strips perfectly when putting it on a dog. Most dog coats allow and have this feature. The velcro (hook & loop) plastice backed patches that are sewn onto the fabric, the plastic is EXTREMELY sharp, the corners as you can see in my photos is like knives. I literally cut my finger the first time I opened up the coat out of the box. I had to take a small scissors to carefully cut the corners of the plastic trying to make the corners rounded without clipping the fabric or cutting the stitching. I did this before I realized the velcro itself sucked, otherwise I would have returned coat because of the nasty velcro. So I used the coat because the coat itself is really nice, but I have to be so careful when putting it on my dog, and VERY careful removing it trying to not rip my dogs coat out of his skin. It's a delicate balancing act. This coat would be AMAZING if the manufacturer would correct the velcro to better quality and fix the "death" corners of the plastic edges.I would not buy it again just because of the horrible velcro (hook & loop).

Nice doggy jacket
Bought for my 55 pound springer spaniel. It looks good on her and works well to keep her warm after her winter grooming appointments when she has less hair (she’s a hunting dog, so we have to keep her hair fairly short or she gets matted with briars). She’s not a big dog (stands to about my knee height), but she must be extra busty because she ended up measuring as an XX Large around her chest. So really pay attention to that measurement when ordering: if your chest measurement is off, the coat probably won’t fit your dog. The XXL fit her well. Color is very nice and I would say it’s medium thickness. Details are all real nice like the zippered slot on the back for hooking to the dogs harness. I would suggest holding down on the bottom layer of the Velcro when pulling the two layers apart tho: like some other reviews have said, I thinks there’s a possibility of the Velcro coming off of the jacket if you just pull and rip the two layers apart. Just a suggestion. Overall, I’m happy with it so far and my dog appears to be comfortable wearing it.

Fits the odd shaped Chiweenie.
We love this jacket for our granddaughter's Chiweenie. The Chiweenie hates it, but she hates all jackets and sweaters and harnesses and leashes so we are not taking her opinion into consideration. Our Chiweenie has a very broad chest, small neck, thin waist and narrow rear quarters (11.5" neck, 18" chest, 13" waist). Few items fit her because she is not similar shape from shoulder to middle. The stretchy smocking on the chest area of this jacket makes up for that and stretches right across her chest but snugs up across her lower ribs. The velcro at the neck and on each side makes it very easy to put on and off. I gave it four stars because we have trouble with the harness underneath the jacket as it hits between the single opening for a collar D loop and the zipper opening where a harness is to be hooked. Since the dog is odd shaped we had to buy her a different style of step-in harness so her harness rides much further up on her shoulders than many would and it does not align with the zipper opening. The step-in harness has double D Loops which don't both fit out through the buttonhole used for a standard collar. This is not totally a problem with the jacket but a mismatch with our harness. We have not used the jacket in the rain but after a walk on a 20-some degree day the Chiweenie's chest and back were toasty warm and the rest of her was freezing. We are in test phase for putting the harness on the outside of the jacket.

Sizing is a little weird but cute when you get the right one
These are fairly stretchy but fitted, soft and the Velcro is very strong. Colors are super cute too. And the reflective part works well. The sizing is a little weird, but I also didn’t measure. The small fits my 12 pound wiener dog. The large fits my 45 pound pit mix that’s on the petite side. The xl fits my 54 pound American bully/border collie mix. The xxxl fits my 80 pound boxer pit mix.

It serves its purpose!
We’ve had this jacket for two months now and it’s working out well, especially since it’s winter here. We go for walks every day and this jacket has been great for cold mornings. The XX-Large fits my 50-pound golden retriever well. Regarding the water resistance, I’m not sure how it would do with repeated exposure, but we were on a walk recently when it started snowing and it did a great job keeping her warm (you can tell when you remove the jacket and her fur underneath feels toasty)! I can see what others are saying about the Velcro, but I remove it with two hands and it hasn’t fallen apart on me after two months.

Cute and warm
While my pup doesn’t love Velcro, I find this the easiest thing to put on her. It doesn’t need to go over her head. It’s also warm and adjustable all over. We used it throughout a cold winter.

Dog likes it
I was going to return it because it seemed a bit snug and is stiff at the neck due to extra fabric. It is dog’s first choice for jacket, though, and he gets lots of compliments. A good weight for our mid to high 30s days. Stitching is solid. Velcro takes a bit to release - be careful if you have arthritis or other hand issues. My dog wears a raincoat, but I noticed neighbor dog’s identical jacket today was wet from light rain. Thus, probably not for rain. It is a popular jacket in our neighborhood. My dog is a 12 pound mix, similar in build to a Cavalier. Small works ok for now - not sure about when it gets washed. Neighbor dog at 26 pounds wears a medium, which would be way too big on my guy.

Size waaay too small and their instructions are off
Decent jacket, lovely colour. Okish quality (quite thin to be advertised for cold winter) but the sizing is all over the place. Bought an XXL for my basset hound, measured her and respected the sizing chart provided with the jacket, but the coat that arrived, despite being XXL would not have fit a thin spaniel. Not sure what sizes these are, but they are incorrect and jackets tend to run small and short.the velcro bits were also peculiar and a bit weak. I expect them they would come off after a couple uses at most.

Very good quality
My dog is a Kerry Blue Terrier, she’s what I’d call a medium size. After reading the reviews I made a point of measuring her to use the size guide ; 18” neck, 25” chest, 22” back was equatable, surprisingly, to their extra large size apparently, so that’s what I ordered. I’m very pleased, it fits her remarkably well. It is very well made, the Velcro is really tough & it’s keeping her warm & comfortable.

Good Lightweight but Warm Coat
Bought XXL for my 34kg (75lbs) Golden Retriever and it fits him perfect. It’s not too chunky either as we were worried with his natural double coat he’d get too warm

Looks okay, but sizings are a joke
Bought the XL for our medium (25Kg, smaller than a labrador) dog. Yes, 'XL'! It should have fitted his measurements with loads of room to spare, according to the description, but in fact it only just went around his chest and the short distance between the gaps for neck and front legs meant that it didn't fit properly at all.Other than that, it looked to be of okay quality, the length was good and the zips for accessing a harness underneath worked well.

Love it! However .....
Love this coat however .. we bought an Xs for our shuh tzu puppy as we went with the measurements directed and it slightly small , we have to put it on the smallest strip of the velcro, we want to keep it but she will grow out of it soon ...... LOVE the color but theres no stock of the small so may have to purchase elsewhere. Unfortunate because we've had lots of compliments on the coat.
