Exploded when I tried to first use it
I had this freight forwarded to Republic of Georgia where we use 220V. I read the manual before plugging it in and it said it uses 220V, so I plugged it in directly. It exploded with a loud pop and smoked (at the time I couldn't understand why as I trusted HP that it wasn't a voltage problem as it is clearly written that it handles both), a bit of the aftermath I filmed and attached. The reason I got a refurbished printer is to be careful knowing that I can't return it because I am in another country right now. So at least refurbished printers get tested as working. I paid for the printer , the shipping, and the customs, plugged it in and never once printed it with it. I am disappointed with HP for having a device that clearly says on the front page that it handles 220V and it doesn't. I think that's the biggest frustration that I feel like HP should take responsibility. Also surprised that we still have new electronics that don't handle both 110 and 220V, that is very rare these days. Disappointed after the effort to bring it to the only HP warranty repair store in the country that after two weeks they just said it's my fault and told me to pick it up. So, hundreds of dollars down the drain and still with no printer. First world problems, but very, very frustrating and disappointing nonetheless.

Amazon-refurnished HP Printer a great bargain!
Amazon refurbished HP Color LaserJet M255dw printer is a great bargain for my home office. Pros are the double sided printing, unlike the previous HP model printer that failed after 7 years use. Cons are the sleep mode. If printing just Black-White, then it immediately prints out. But if printing color, half of the time that printing lags for sometimes up to 5 minutes, even if just a single side on a single sheet. No clue why that is. Effective workaround is to close that item, then send another item to the printer. That seems to push it.

It a very good printer easy to set up and the color is awesome .
I brought this as an extra computer for my on-line teaching . It cool . I had some problems with the LCD screen it wasn’t coming on and still goes out but I just click it a little and it comes back on. I’ll see how long it continues but so far it hasn’t gone out again...

Doesn't come with full inks
Overall this printer is fine, a typical laser printer with warmup and print spool time. It was easy to set up and connect to wireless. I dropped one star because despite the description stating it comes with everything a new one does, my inks were only half capacity. When I contacted the seller, he stated their refurbished units only have 50-75% toner. I don't know if knowing that up front would have pushed me to buy a new one with full toner for $50 more, but I'd like to have have all the correct information before a large purchase like this.

Comes with no ink cartridges.
I knew this was a refurb when buying it and knew there was a possibility of issues but I took a chance. Printer was packaged well and looked good out of the box. No visible issues. Plugged it in and it came on, which was good. Checked the ink cartridge tray and no ink. I have purchased many refurb printers for my origination in the past and while not all were in top shape, they all came with ink. The total price on this at the time of purchase was $257. A brand new from HP is $347. Do yourself a favor and buy brand new. Less problems, under warranty, and THEY COME WITH INK. Returned

Printing in the desert
Living in the desert, inkjet cartridges just don’t last. I was never getting value for my money. For how infrequently I need to print something the renewed color laser jet is perfect. Ultimately much more cost effective for infrequent printing in the desert.
