Better than I imagined
I was buying this as a gift and I didn’t think it would be as wonderful as it turned out. The book looked authentic and old, which is why I liked it. When I saw the book in person, then I realized how impressive the journal was inside and out. If you are looking for a journal that feels like it’s 100 or 200 years old, then get this one. It’s definitely worth the money. The person receiving the gift was in awe of it and was gingerly touching it because he believed it was really old. He loved that it wasn’t old since he wanted to write in it, but loved the aged look and the clasp.

I bought this for my daughter, 8 years old. She wanted a special “old looking” journal in which to write out a novel. She LOVES it, and I must say it *is* very cool. The aged looking, soft pages really make it special. Just make sure you use a fairly dark ink or darker type pencil. Regular pencil seems to be too light on the dark/aged paper to show up consistently enough to be easily readable. Minor issue though. This thing is awesome.

I LOVE THIS.
I brought this for my friend during our semi-annual "Friendship Day" where we buy gifts we know our designated gift receivers would love. My friend is a writer and one of her favorite movies/books is Pride and Prejudice. She asked if it were real leather and then she sniffed it and smiled then said "It IS leather!" She absolutely adores this journal and said "I LOVE THIS."
