Quality Masonry Bit
I am using this for a soft purpose, drilling holes in the ground to insert driveway marker stakes. While designed for Masonry purposes, one can encounter rocks and other hard substrates in the ground. If by some chance hard rock is encountered, the tip can break off, but for my use, it should last for years.

It works
When you need that extra reach. Can’t go wrong with deWalt.

Wow this bit goes through solid concreate like a hot knife through butter.
I was attempting to drill through a 1" cinder block, I mistakenly had the wrong angel and drilled 7 inches through my foundation, my mistake but this drill does what it claims.

A-Must For Cable TV/Internet Installers
I get excited to drill holes in customers houses because this drill bit gives me confidence lol. That's all I need to say... :)Also if you are looking for a great hammer drill I highly recommend the DeWalt (DWD520K ) (Corded) or the DeWalt (DCD796D2) (Cordless)Get the cordless one first. It looks small but has soooo much power. Just make sure you put it on the "hammer" setting before drilling lol

Conflicting Information on Store Page
Kind of my fault. In about section of this product it states "Three flats on shank eliminate bit slipping in chuck (except DW5232, DW5233, DW5237, DW5238)" I have had issues in the past with the bit slipping and I prefer this type.Of course in the Shank Type it is listed as "Round". So I guess it is technically correct but are lying in the about section? I just wish I didn't buy the wrong drill bit......especially at this price. Am I missing something?
