Adderley of England - Fine English Bone China Mug - Pansy Wrap Chintz

This is a lovely, roomy mug for my tea. It is quite delicate and not the size of a coffee mug so if you're looking for something more serviceable, keep looking. I particularly like the grip size; I dislike the tiny hand hold for the common tea cup so a mug is handier. And yet, it is every bit as refined as any cup and saucer (which is much more risky).

I like a smaller "mug" for my coffee. Also that it is just plain gorgeous make morning coffee a true pleasurable experience.

All eight of our bone china tea mugs are exceptionally nice to drink from and to handle. They're thin and they do keep a hot drink warm longer than our ceramic or stoneware mugs. However, the colors of this one mug are disappointing, not worthy of giving as the gift I intended.Giving "pansies for remembrance" doesn't work when the purple has a grayish cast, the yellow is a bit muddy and the green is dull. The pictures I'm posting actually look brighter than the colors are in person, but they're as close to accurate as I could manage. Since I'm making peace with this mug for my personal use alone, I've upgraded the stars from three to four. After all, it's an excellent cup except for the colors.

I LOVE this mug. The mug gets 5 stars; the service gets none.I bought several mugs at different times from the shop China Find. The mugs are beautiful and wonderful to drink my daily coffee. The china itself isn't as fine as they used to be. I love really fine (thin/translucent) china. Drinking from thin-lipped mugs is preferable than the thick clunky mugs that are seemingly everywhere today. I dribble coffee from those unbelievably, and find it uncomfortable to drink from and heavy to hold.Although the delivery was prompt, (The purchases came from the shop through Amazon) and the mugs were very-well packed, the customer service from this shop is VERY below par. In fact, it is nonexistent. I sent emails to them several times with questions regarding a certain pattern that I love and can no longer find. ALL my enquiries went unanswered; NO response whatsoever. I wrote to them on Amazon. No response. Their online shop through Google. No response. And on Ebay. No response.As much as I love the china, I will purchase from another store. ChinaFind will get no further business from me.

When I asked the question "How much does this mug hold" the very first answer that came back was 12 Oz. to the brim more comfortably 11 Oz.That I could have dealt with. This mug while obviously bone china and very pretty only holds 8 ounces comfortably. 9 if you want to take a chance of it splashing over the edge. I used a measuring cup to check because I just couldn't believe how small it was when I unwrapped it from the bubble wrap. I'll be sending it back because it's way smaller than expected.
