Personally, I think your product is garbage. I am 77 years old and have been building cabinetry and furniture for more years than I can remember. During that time I have used many types and styles of hardware, and I have never had anything that caused me more frustration than your lid supports. I ordered them for a blanket chest, and liked the idea that they were supposed to be soft closing so that the grandchildren would not have smashed finders and hands when closing the lid. I tried every combination imaginable and nothing worked as advertised. When I installed them according to the instructions, (the part of the instructions that I could decipher), there's about 1/4" - 3/8" between the lid and main box of the chest. Another thing, your instructions are a joke. First of all, they were so small and faded that It is almost impossible to decipher them. Also, I don't know where you went to school, but measuring tapes do read in decimals, as .28 inch. They come in fractions, as in 1/4", 1/2", etc. Who in the bleep knows how much .28 inch is. Bad decision on my part to order from you. Never again.

I haven't installed them yet but the shipping was fast. And the quality of the product is impressive.

Bought this to stop a wooden chest from slamming on fingers. Keeps it open, but it still slams when closing. Very sturdy though. If I didn't need soft close it would be great.

While expensive, this turned out to be my only option in my camper. I tried two other cheaper brands that either fell apart on me or were impossible to install. To complete cabinet door extenders in my camper, I need 6 more, but I can’t afford that. I wish they would sell these to the manufacturer! It’s crazy to sell a camper with 7 overhead storage units that can’t be used because the doors won’t stay up!!!

These come with pretty weak instructions. They are confusing and hard to interpret. They are not assembled upon arrival, and unless you know exactly how these operate, it is difficult to know for sure how to assemble them. I saw this mentioned in reviews when I was considering purchasing them, but figured I could figure it out. I took one look at them when I got them and ended up not putting much effort into it. They may work great, but assembly is going to be difficult. So, I can confirm what the other reviews have stated, the instructions are inadequate.

I installed them on a heavy solid maple storage chest. Almost sheared my little finger off when the lid fell during installation. The clamp that was holding the lid up came loose dropping the lid. A few stitches and all was well again.
