These salt and pepper shakers are such a nice piece. They go with any decor and looks so nice! They are 4 inches standing and about 1. 8 inches in diameter just as it is listed on product information. I love the stainless steel tops and the glass. The glass is very thick and fairly heavy. I like how I no longer have to guess when or of I need to refill because I can just see where they are at with the clear glass. The lids are twist on/off and I found it very easy to do so. No issues or complaints with these shakers. The holes are big enough for shaking they're almost similar to my last shaker. The diameter of these made it so incredibly easy to pour salt and pepper into the glass shakers. Im so thrilled about these and would recommend to family based off quality and price.I received these shakers at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

What's great: Nicely-sized--big enough to avoid refilling constantly; a clean, simple design; a wide mouth that can accommodate measuring spoons; and holes that allow salt grains to fall softly and evenly upon shaking, rather than rain down or pour out like hourglass sand. These shakers work well for my standard white sea salt and my pink Himalayan salt, which is ever-so-slightly more coarse than the former. (Please note that my set is glass, not plastic as was mentioned by at least one other reviewer.)What sucks: As soon as you turn the shaker upside-down, salt falls into in the cap thread and gets stuck between the cap and the glass. This must be some sort of emergency salt storage system, because it traps a good amount and saves it for when you least expect it. Unscrew the cap to measure out salt or refill the shaker, and the trapped salt will fall everywhere. You will clean up the mess, try to make a mental note to open the shaker over the sink in the future, and then promptly forget about this unpleasant feature until the whole thing happens again...and again, and again, until you are fed up enough to buy new shakers.I am now fed up enough. I can't really recommend these.

I received a bad sample. I wanted these for the simple form but one of the two showed up with a bashed lid. Returned them.

This is not a set of glass and stainless steel salt/pepper shakers...it is a PLASTIC set. To send it back requires ME to pay postage.
