So, they are water-jet / plasma cut from plate steel. The edges are sharp and they are very raw because it is up to you to make them! Pretty good deal if you asked me. Funny shaped chunks of steel for to heat and beat, such that I can heat and beat other chunks of steel into funny shapes. I'm very happy with these - I had to build a post-vice to properly be prepared to assemble them so keep that in mind, you'll need a vice of some sort (not that you need an excuse for another tool - you're buying these because you like tools, and so now you have to get a very nice post-vice - or tell your sweetie that you have to get a very nice post vice - because these require bending in an S-wardly direction!)One more thing, they send you a QR box code thing for the assembly video - it's just Black Bear Forge on YouTube, so you can go look at his thing, but hurry back here to get these tong-kits.And don't forget to tell your sweetie that you need a very nice post-vice now, because you need it to finish these (a bench vice would also work, but don't tell sweetie that!)I want to add that mine were missing the rivets when they arrived, and the seller took care of it beautifully! When it comes to mistakes, I understand and I make them too - my thing is how a person deals with a mistake, rather than whether or not they make them. This seller did perfect. If I need something they've got, I'll seek them out!:)

All forged together as described. Came with 3/16" rivets. I used 1/4" rivets instead. Great set for the price!

As described, however, i did NOT get the rivets that were supposed to be with the set. Advise if rivets can be sent so I can finish the set.Everything else is perfect.
