Just be aware the ones I ordered had a wierd clear washer on each screw. It was annoying to remove them from each screw before using.

I used these to mount 1.5" wood to 1/4" aluminum. They took a while in a high speed drill to get through the aluminum, and a few did not go through at all. Once I drilled a small pilot hole they worked. I've used self tapping screws in the past that drilled through steel quicker than these.

They work perfectly, the head is the most convenient and sits stably in the power screwdriver bit.

Be advised that these are not 1/4" drive heads. They are 7mm but 7/32" drivers will work. I can't complain as rereading the product description it plainly states they drive with a 7mm driver, note to self, read all descriptions. 7mm or even 9/32 magnetic drivers are very scarce in my world. Otherwise it's all good with the screws.

When I bought these I wasn't looking for a box of 100 but maybe it's good they come in this quantity because I did experience some quality issues. I needed to mount a new gate latch system on a steel gate so I pre-drilled the holes and then used these self-tapping screws to secure things. Overall I used about 20 of them and had 3 of them break during the project. The ones that didn't break are holding well, I'm not worried about them. Maybe any fastener would be strained on this particular job? These were worth the gamble.
