Easy seal removal
The media could not be loaded. I bought this tool after many years of using the old traditional hook style tool and also drilling holes and using wood screws to remove seals, I had to be very careful since both my old methods can scratch and damage the sealing surface, but now I got a very picky customer and wated all the seals replaced, this time I decided to do some research and find something less risky and better. For my surprise, this tool works great. I can't explain how happy I feel of finding this tool after many years, these seals were very tight in the holes, I was scared of breaking the tool but I was able to remove all 3 front seals with no issues at all.Really recommend this to anyone with patience to understand and use it.

Great tool and time saver
I have used many things to pull seals when they are still around the shaft, some tools were things I made, some tools I bought, and sometimes just a course threaded screw. But this is a great addition to the toolbox. If you are pulling a cam/crank seal on an import or some other type of small seal when the shaft is still installed in the part this tool works great. I have used it probably two dozen times since I bought it and am very pleased. I have not noticed any damage to the shafts an any occasion and the setup time was minimal.I could not imagine using this tool to pull a wheel seal or axle seal. For larger seals or seals where the shaft is not sticking through the middle of the seal there are better tools to use. If you are pulling a large seals chances are there is more room between the seal lip and the shaft and you can use something more substantial that this.My only complaint with this tool is that it comes with and extra blade but there is no place to put it. I just tied it to the shaft up near the handle with a piece of wire so I can find it if I ever break the original one.Bottom line, if someone stole this tool from me tomorrow I would but it again. Is this a tool that you have to have? No, you can get by using other methods to pull these types of seals. But it sure makes thing a lot easier and make the job go a little quicker.

The Best Tool for Pulling Seals from a Shaft
Donʻt use a pick or a screwdriver. Use this tool from Lisle to remove camshaft seals. It is especially helpful on hard to reach seals, such as those on the rear (firewall) cylinder bank of V6 engines. Old seals can be baked hard and difficult to remove. Lisle designed this tool to provide better leverage and it works like a charm.

It doesn’t work, don’t waste your money
I bought this tool because it was specifically recommended by various sources to pull the rear seal on Subaru EJ25 motors. I did not work. The hooked end was easy enough to get between the seal and the crank but when I attempted to pull the seal out the hook immediately broke. So I put the new hook on the tool and made a second attempt at pulling the seal out, this time I tried to use a bit more finesse. The second hook broke without much force applied to the seal.Don’t waste your money on this tool, just drill through the seal carefully and drive a course thread screw into the hole. Then pull the main seal with a pair of vice grips attached to a slide hammer or a claw hammer and a block of wood.

It worked but tighten it first
It eventually worked. I recommend tightening down the nut before attempting to use it. Otherwise the grabber piece will shift out of alignment and not go straight in. I successfully removed the crankshaft seal on my 2005 Scion Xa.

Worth every penny and then some
This thing is incredible, especially when you have a seal where you still have a shaft in the center of the seal and no access to the back of the seal to punch it out. Highly recommend for np231J and NVG241OR transfer case rebuilds.

It definitely works
Been wrenching for over 20+ years, never have used this style of seal puller. Ran into crank seal that was giving me a fit, and no special OEM remover was available (cone style), so gave this a try as a last ditch effort. My first attempt resulted in an immediate snap off of the hook. Tried again and made sure the hook was a little loose and slowly ramped up the pressure and it was a success. I taped the back side of the hook with gorilla tape to make sure no scratches on the crank surface, didnt leave any marks at all! For the price Id say this thing is pretty awesome, just make sure you buy some spare hooks
