Big Improvement!
This was the improvement I was looking for in my aluminum welding!Had 2 other tungstens that were supposed to be ok for aluminum, but this one is much, much better with the exact same settings and procedure & piece of material.Wish I'd have bought it sooner.

Great value
The media could not be loaded. These are a great value. They arrived quickly, seem to be of great quality, are easy to use in a standard TIG torch, the points are accurate and they look very durable compared to other brands.

Worked great on an older Syncrowave
I had to weld up some 1/8" aluminum box tubing and plate for my local HS robotics team. I was using some green (pure) tungsten and wasn't too happy with how quickly I was eating up tungsten. I'm using an older Miller Syncrowave 250, not a newer inverter machine and checked online and saw that lanthanated (blue) tungsten was recommended by some for welding on aluminum. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the new, blue, tungsten worked. Still balled up at the tip, but stayed pretty stable after that. I will definitely, be sticking with this from now on for aluminum welds.

Midwest Tungsten Service 3/32 blue Tungsten is one of the best...
Fast, cheap, shipping, and the 3/32, 2%, lanthanated tungsten arrived with no damage. Will definitely purchase again! This was a first time purchase for me, the tungsten is not ground to a point, you'll need to grind it yourself.

Easy to work with and great price. My classmates and I like it.
I'm a welding student and my school doesn't provide us with tungsten, so most of us got this brand from Amazon. The school let us use some random short piece of crap for our first class, but we had to have our own ASAP. (Student Prime shipping got it to me in time for my next class!) No complaints about the Midwest tungsten from myself or any of my classmates. Since I'm doing my first TIG class I don't have anything to compare these to, but I've asked some of the more experienced students and they really like this brand compared to others they have tried.I bought these from recommendations from my teacher and other classmates, and it had really good reviews here too. Perfect mid-range price point since I'm still dipping a lot! As I'm improving my skills I notice that the arc starts easily, and can take the abuse I'm giving them. They are WAY better than the random brand that the school lent us the first day of class! I'll continue to purchase from Midwest, and my classmates are too.Just like other reviewers have said; the paint on the top is too thick to stick into the torch without inserting it from the back. I just rubbed the excess off on my bench and that fixed the issue. Only took enough paint off to feed it in without snagging and can still see what color it is.
