I have tried this product for a while now. It has pros and cons just like any other product out there. The Pro will be it. It has more than enough space and setting up was easy too. The con will be that this product does not have a floor mat that comes with it, so be careful of that if you decide to buy it. Make sure you have a floor mat to protect your baby. The other downside of this product is that it is not steady and not strong enough and the baby can easily push it back and forth and it does not stay on the floor, unfortunately. If your baby is walking, Then I don't recommend this product at all. It was made out of cheap materials.

After reading all the negative reviews I still purchase this mesh gate, it really is cheap. Right out of the package followed directions, little hooks really stuck hard to the wall. Put a little tension to stretch it out and the hook snapped off, ok they did provide 6 hooks thank goodness. Got it all up, then tested to open the gate and the strap just came apart damn. Ended up just using thump tacks to hold it up oh yeah when removing the broken hook, it will pull the paint off the wall

This is exactly what I was looking for and works well for my purpose. I wanted to block my deck opening so my cat can hang on the deck safely. We have some mean neighborhood cats so I won't let him roam. I attached it to hooks on both sides and stapled half of the bottom to my deck leaving the other half open so I can let my dog out. Temporary solution before the deck gets rebuilt. So for me this is 5 stars! I gave it 4 stars because if you want this for inside, I can't see how this would hold a dog back. It's not firm enough on the bottom and you can't staple your floors! I also don't think the sticky clips that come with it will work well. But if you can find a work-around, this is a nice little gate for the price!

My wife and I ordered this to limit the amount of baby proofing we would have to do with spare rooms, laundry area, and a bathroom as well as keeping our 3 dogs out of the same areas, it did not last a day. Granted, I have 2 100 lb dogs that tend to move our couch and cast iron furniture so I should have expected the results I got. As for function, I could see this working so long as your child isn't past the toddler stage and you have smaller dogs, less than 30 lbs, and for our baby it worked fantastic until 3 of the 4 elastic loops ripped off of the sides. Overall, I would buy it again only if I didn't have large animals, it was extremely easy to install and was very manageable to step over or even take down before it broke, again it breaking had nothing to do with the product, it just won't last once you have a child older than 3 or so I believe. If you need a quick and budget friendly solution and can't hard mount a gate permanently, I'd 100% go with this so long as you don't have bigger kids and large dogs.

I do not recommend this product. The adhesive is not very durable and any medium size dog or small child will rip this thing off of your wall. We had to screw it in to the wall, actually drill through the given plastic hooks in order for it to work after a few days and even then the plastic hooks failed. Not only did the plastic hooks fail, the stretchy nylon fabric failed. Spend the extra $20-30 on a retractable pet/baby gate and save your money.

Impossible to roll up the woven fabric and then put it on the cheap sticky plastic piece. Does not stay in place. My doorway is 32" and once you roll up this 70" piece of fabric, it's impossible to keep it rolled. i believe you get what you pay for. It's horrible. I am throwing it away. I bought 3 of them, and I cannot believe I was stupid enough to think that this China made junk could be usable. Just another stupid consumer, hoping to not have to pay an arm and a leg for something, but guess that's the only way to have a decent product. No one has any conscience anymore, and will sell any kind of crap they can think of the keep from truly working for a living.

Ok so I know this got bad reviews but I think it’s just a fact that people need to understand it is just essentially a mesh screen it’s got 2 poles to go in the sides and keep it straight and hooks you can stick to the wall, you will want to put these far enough apart so you are stretching it as far as it can go to get the beat use out of it. If you have strong or resourceful toddlers they may be able to get through it, or if you have destructive pets I have no doubt they will chew it up, I purchased it more as a deterrent for my toddler to leave our loft area and try to walk downstairs, I have no doubt he could get through it if he really tried however it does slow him down, so it works as a barrier while supervised, I would not leave him un-supervised because I know he would eventually get out. I see a lot of people mentioning the hook issue, they are right and that is the reason for dropping a star, they are sticky, they will rip the paint off your wall if you remove them (although I was already aware of this and came to terms with it so that wasn’t the reason to remove the star) I was doubtful they would be sticky enough to hold on very long, rather than buy new hooks I just drilled a hole in these ones and screwed them in using some screws I had laying around, the hooks themselves are plastic, as long as you don’t try to drill a hole too close to the edge it won’t break and you can screw them in to a stud no problem and holds great! It was just the fact that I had to drill the hole and use screws for the hooks was why I dropped the star because it would have been better to have them provided screw in hooks.So overall, I knew what I was buying, it was $20 I didn’t expect much from it, it does it’s job well and I am happy with the purchase, as long as you don’t expect too much from it and understand that it is only a mesh screen I think you will be happy with it too, just drill holes in the hooks and screw them in like I did or you can buy new hooks like others did either way works
