I used heat shrink wrap to better protect the wires
So I ordered this product for my 2016 Harley Davidson Iron 883. I saw some videos on YouTube for installing the clamp and relocating the speedo to the side. Little did I know, the YouTube videos were for pre 2016 bikes. With that being said, my wire harness was not long enough to be able to reach the top clamp (where the indicator lights go) and the speedo (side of the bike). So I had to do some modifications myself in order to make this work. Here's what I did..*NOTE* I removed the main fuse because I was handling the wire harness**1.) Removed the seat and tank (you dont have to if you find you have enough room to reach the wire harness). I completely removed the tank because I was installing a coil & ignition relocation kit as well as doing a wire tuck.2.) Removed the stock speedo cluster bolts and draped the cluster down.3.) Removed the headlight bolts and draped the headlight down so that I have easier access to the wire harness.4.) Disconnected the speedo cluster from the wire harness and dismantled the speedo, removing the actual speed from the cluster as well as the indicator lights.5.) Detached the wire harness from the speedo. At this point, you can see that the indicator wiring is short and not long enough to reach. I went ahead and cut a little up the protective sleeve where the indicator wires and the speedo wires meet, giving me more room to work with.6.) I then cut the indicator wires (leaving room to work with), seperating those set of wires from the rest. I then used 22ga wiring and soldered about 8-10" of extra wire length to the indicator wires. Once I soldered the extra length wires to the original wires, I used heat shrink wrap to better protect the wires. After which, I then soldered the extra length wires back with the original wires. MAKE SURE YOU SOLDER THE CORRECT COLOR WIRING. I checked and double checked to make sure I was soldering the correct wires.7.) I then used "E Z FUZE" tape and wrapped the complete wire harness for better protection against the elements. Also, it leaves you with a clean looking wire harness.8.) I then re-assembled the speedo cluster to my new AUTO METER 3209 TACHOMETER SHOCK MOUNT. Prior to putting the speedo together, i wrapped the speedo with the E Z FUZE tape to better protect the speedo (plus the stock speedo is white and I wanted it black) I then made sure there was enough length/slack from where the speedo will go and to the top clamp where the indicator lights will go. Once I was happy with that length, i secured the indicator light to the new Joker Machine clamp and positioned the clamp onto the handlebars (make sure the handlebars are where you like them).9.) Once everything was positioned how I like it, I began bolting everything back and making sure to use BLUE LOCKTIGHT when I put the bolts back in. I snugged everything down and re-checked my wires, again making sure there was enough slack/play.10.) I put my tank back on and slipped in the bolt for the tank. I positioned the new tachometer with the bolt and angled it to my liking. Make sure you're using blue locktight before you snug it all down, and that you are clear when you turn your handlebar. Once everything is clear and that there is enough slack/play with the wires, I torqued it all down and secured them in place. If you ordered the tachometer as well, you will notice in my pictures that the clamp is black. They don't sell it in black so I had spray painted the clamp black.BY ALL MEANS, I AM NO CERTIFIED MECHANIC SO IF YOU DECIDE TO USE MY WRITE UP, UNDERSTAND THIS IS JUST HOW I DID MY JOB.I hope this helps folks out as I said, I wasnt able to find any instructions on how to do the job.

Fits perfectly on my 2015 883 Iron
Looks great on my bike.Very well made: machined from a single piece of aluminum. feels very solid and looks great. I don't like adding cheap looking stuff on my bike, and this definitely does not look cheap.

Nice product, Allen bolts are not the same thread ...
Nice product, Allen bolts are not the same thread pattern as the harley sportster original. Don't force them as they are not the same threads. Easy to install on 2012 iron 883, changed handlebars and did not like the speedo over the headlight. Made a huge difference. High quality part.

Very easy to install and it looks great
Very easy to install and it looks great. I used the original bolts from my '12 Harley Sportster instead of the brass ones that come in the kit. Some good YouTube videos will help walk you through moving your indicator lights and speedometer that I would highly recommend anyone considering this watch. I combined this with the Auto Meter 3209 Tach Shock Mount.
