Thursday PlantationTea Tree Soap - 4.4 oz Each / 3 Bars

I first found this soap many years ago at my local health store. I love that this is made with natural tea tree oil. I was experiencing weird skin issues, such as itchiness, with a medication I was taking. This soap did help to an extent with the itchiness, but, of course, did not completely clear it. I don't blame the soap, but rather the toll the medication was taking on my body, and these issues eventually stopped once the meds completely cleared from my system. But, this did give my skin better relief than any of the other many products I tried.In addition to this, I have naturally oily skin. I read about the many benefits of tea tree oil such as it's antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial and overall excellent cleansing properties. When I first opened the package, the immediate smell was, of course, tea tree oil. It is a rather strong smell, and I was worried it might linger on my skin. However, the smell does not linger on the skin. I use this not only as my facial cleanser via  Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System, 0.68-Fluid Ounce  then as an all-over body cleanser via washcloth. It has not caused any irritation, and makes my skin feel much cleaner and clearer than any other soap or skin cleanser that I have used. It has not caused my skin to feel excessively dry or taut. For me, it is just right. I still get an occasional blemish, but not nearly as much as I did prior to using this. The antiseptic/antiviral/antifungal/antibacterial properties of the tea tree in this soap also helps to address the underlying cause of bacteria of some blemish breakouts. This, in my opinion, is a much better alternative to the typical antibacterial soaps widely available today. This soap lathers okay, but not to a big luxurious lather, and lasts a pretty long time. The bars are rather large, which I love, but are still easy to hold and use. I use this in conjunction with  NOW Foods Jojoba Oil Pure, 4 ounce  as my final step to my skin care routine. This soap and the jojoba oil -(yes, OIL for oily skin, please see my review about this other great natural product and what it has done for my skin)- have done wonders in helping my skin to be fresher and less oily. My children who have dealt with oily skin/blemishes have also been using this and have enjoyed clearer skin as a result. All of us, (my daughters and I) each have skin sensitivities to varying degrees, but have had no irritation or adverse reaction to this soap. I highly recommend this to anyone with similar problems such as skin oiliness, itchiness and blemishes, although I am not sure I would recommend this to anyone with very dry skin, as this may cause further dryness.

This is the only tea tree soap I use. It's well made with plenty of tea tree oil and smells like it. It has antiseptic properties and doesn't strip the skin. It comes with an expiration date, which is unusual for soap. I have purchased this several times. Sometimes it comes with plastic shrink wrap, sometimes it doesn't.

I love using this product, especially in the summer. It helps me not breakout during hot months. It does have a strong tea tree oil smell (personally, I like the smell).

I like this product a lot. I use it for my psoriasis. It's better than any soap I've ever used before. The psoriasis actually rolls off in your hands while showering, and rinses clean. Great smell also.
