So far, the sharpener is working flawlessly. I replaced a worn diamond wheel motor driven unit that served well for years. After reading this product's reviews, it seemed a more economical alternative going forward. I received the product this week and have been a sharpening demon since. Our cutlery set now walks through meat like a hot wire through butter. My trusty hand-forged utility knife sharpened better than when I first took it off the anvil. The adjustable angle suggests that it is practical to put a fine edge on a variety of blades. I have yet to test each edge angle. I rated at 4 stars simply because the QR code took me to an offer to purchase the URL rather than registering the warranty.

My husband is a fanatic about having sharp knives. This sharpener is his answer. You can position the sharpener for different blade types, and it puts a lasting sharpness on all of them. It did a fantastic job on my scissors. It is very light and easy to use. If instructions are followed, it is very safe to use. Except for the blades, it is made mostly of plastic. It is inexpensive but works like a very expensive sharpener. We love it!

Have had it a while now and have found it easy yo use and it gets the knives sharp . Seems to work well with very hard steel and softer steel knives . Nice little case to keep it in keeps it clean and easy to find in the drawer

I had an older Chef's Choice sharpener for 3 years that was finally wearing out. I ordered a new Chef's Choice 4643 and this one because it has a scissors sharpener and a selectable blade angle. I have a number knives that I keep sharp, some are less expensive Japanese knives that work well, but many are more expensive Japanese and German knives. Although I like the size and weight of this sharpener and it is easy to use, I wasn't happy with the way the blades slide through the sharpening slot. The instructions say to pull the blade through the sharpening slot10-15 times. Having set the sharpener to the preferred angle, the knives did not easily slide on the sharpening slot. Then knives seemed to get caught in the slot and did not move smoothly. The polishing slot worked better, but the knives were not sharpened, and even duller than when I started. Die hard that I am, I did try sharpening some of the knives again in case I did something wrong. The knives finally did get sharpened, but it took multiple tries. I also tried the scissors sharpener which was the primary reason I bought this sharpener. It did help to sharpen the scissors, but I believe I could find a dedicated scissors sharpener for less than $50. I decided to return this sharpener and stay with the Chef's Choice sharpener that lasts for at least 3 years for my knives.

I have had every sharpener known to man I think and they all fall short, way short, of this one. It's a bit expensive but worth it.

This is a great item. It is as good as they say it is.

The product came quickly. I used the sharpener on a couple dull knives I had to my amazement the knives were very sharp and do as advertised. I'll be keeping this.
