Besides taking them somewhere to have them cut its super easy. With these ones once thr key is cut all you have to do it cycle thre ignition with a original then cycle these right after and everything is programmed. Great value on these keys compared to dealer.

Having a dead battery with the product made issues. That didn’t have to be. Just replace the battery as a SOP!

Works great, easy to program once you find someone to cut the key blank, which was rather difficult by the way.

They looked perfect but they were very hard to set up and sometimes take a couple pushed to unlock the car hence only three stars. Quality and look are good but the function is just ok.

Fyi: I have 1 broken, original key fob to my equinox. The rotating part cracked apart.1. I took new fob and took pin out of key, removing it. One was easy to do, one was impossible and I never managed to.2. I went to car with old and new key fob and already cut key3. I turned ignition switch on/off with old key, and removed.4. I put old key back in and used new fob to turn switch on. Waited 10 seconds. Turned off and fob was programmed.5. Problems started when I wanted to put old key into new fob. Bases are a few millimeters different in length. I had to use metal files and get creative with the pin bc it would not go back in.In summary, I saved $180 and I have 1 working key. After an hour of hunting for a laser cutting place, I ended up getting a $60 quote from Chevrolet to cut the 2 blanks that came with these...

This worked exactly as the original remote from the dealer. And it was extremely easy to program.

Of the two in the package only one works. This is NOT user programmable. Either a dealer ($50.00) or an "automotive locksmith" (whatever that is) with the correct electronic equipment can program it.

I ordered 2 of these after my chevy dealer said that it would cost me $165 to replace the key and another $45 to program it saying it could take up to an hour to program. I had a mobile locksmith cut the keys for $40 each and he told me thow to program them by just putting them in the ignition.....took me less than 20 seconds for both, better then being ripped off by the dealer especially when you get the service there. Oh, the dealer said that the blade to be cut would be cheap metal and bend undercutting.....NOT, the entire key was like the original.

Both of these work great and were very easy to program to a 2009 Chevy Avalanche.
