I absolutely LOVE this hat. My head circumference is just about exactly 21" and measures to be 6 /78. The hat fits perfectly. The hat comes with sizing strips that will add a half size or a full size so if you got a medium you'd be able to make the adjustment to fit to your correct size. I got a small and it was a perfect fit.The packaging was wonderful. I looked at a lot of different hats in my research and saw some complaints that other hats from other companies came in a crushed box and were misshapen. Not the Barmahs! The hat comes directly from Barmah and is in a large box. It comes with an insert to protect the crown from bending out of shape (though it's a packable hat so I don't think it matters.)My wife didn't want me to get an old man's hat and wanted something more stylish. Though the Tilleys' (I was looking at the LTM6) are highly rated, I wasn't sure about the shape (more of an oval brim) and the height of the crown. I thought the crown of the Tilley looked too high and might look funny on a smaller guy like me. The Barmah has a crown that I like better (3"?) . I love the shape of the brim and the width of it. I'm prone to skin cancer and the Barmah gives protection from the top of the hat and the front of the crown. (I"m buying a skull cap to protect the sides rated at UPF 50). I'm very pleased with the styling of the Barmah and would heartily recommend it.The delivery through Amazon was very fast too. I placed the order and 5 days later I got the delivery from Barmah. The box it came was heavy duty cardboard to prevent crushing. The package even came with a $5 coupon for your next order. Great company!

This is my 'sunny day outside' hat, to avoid too much sun on my ears/back of neck/face.The crown allows good ventilation on hot days and the brim is wide enough to protect me at the level I desire.And, while doing all of this functional 'stuff', it just looks darned good too!!!

I have owned one in brown for about 8 years. It travels with me on vacations for years. It packs well in the suitcase. It also keep the water out of my eyes while using a camera on rainy days.

Bought this for my wife. I have had one like it for 25 years. They age beautifully and last forever. You can't invest in a better hat that you won't have to worry about. Waterproof, crushproof. Can't say enough good about it.

The hat looks and works great to block the sun. It runs a bit large but the included sizing kit works great to alter the fit!
