My daughter is obsessed with her new closet!
I recently purchased the Wire Shelving Kit for organizing my home, and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. First and foremost, the quality of this shelving kit is outstanding. The wire construction is sturdy and durable, providing ample support for all of my belongings without bending or sagging. I feel confident storing even my heaviest items on these shelves. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the simple and intuitive design of the shelving kit. With just a few basic tools, I was able to set up the shelves in no time at all. The adjustable height feature allowed me to customize the configuration to perfectly fit my space, whether I needed tall shelves for storing bulk items or shorter shelves for organizing smaller items. The versatility of this shelving kit is also a major plus. The open wire design allows for optimal airflow, making it perfect for storing pantry items, linens, or even electronics without worrying about moisture buildup. Plus, the sleek and modern look of the wire shelves adds a touch of sophistication to any room. Another thing I love about this shelving kit is its affordability. It's a budget-friendly solution for adding extra storage space to any room in my home, whether it's the kitchen, garage, or closet. Plus, the durability of the wire construction ensures that these shelves will last for years to come, making it a great investment for any homeowner. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Wire Shelving Kit has exceeded all of my expectations in terms of quality, versatility, and affordability. If you're in need of extra storage space in your home, look no further – this shelving kit is the perfect solution!

The better half is a bit of a clothes-horse and the ...
Our closet is much longer than average but normal depth. The better half is a bit of a clothes-horse and the original closet system that was installed collapsed not once, but a second time even after doubling up on the supports after putting it back up the first time. That led us to buying this closet system. It is extremely customizable allowing you to outfit any size length or depth closet you have. Because our closet is 14' long we bought a 3-6 ft kit and a 4-8 ft kit and some additional shelving and add-ons to customize it to our own design. First off, it is extremely easy to install. I had it finished in a few hours work spread over a couple days. I would have easily finished in a single day but due to budget restraints we had to order the kits at separate times and I installed them one at a time. Secondly, it is EXTREMELY customizable. There are probably thousands of ways you can design the layout and with dozens of add-ons you have plenty of options. Third and most important, this closet system is extremely sturdy. We've had it installed for months and not even a hint of it coming loose from the walls and we've had no more worries of a collapse. And because of the organizational design, there are even more clothes hanging in the closet than we had previously. The top cross member is mounted into the studs for a sturdy base. The down rails hang from the top cross member distributing the weight of the clothes across the entire length of the wall. Supplied spacers allow for easy hanging of the rails at the proper distance for the shelving and hanging rod and from there it's a quick attachment with a screw at the bottom of the rail, either in the stud or with a drywall anchor. And since the design pushes the rail against the wall instead of away from it, there's no fear of the wall anchor coming loose and the closet collapsing. I have recommended to several friends who have experience the same collapse issue we've had and will continue to recommend. Would definitely purchase this product again.

Does Everything It Says It Does
I have Elfa in every closet but my own. I still prefer Elfa. When you finish installing Elfa, you think "Wow, this looks great! I can do so much!" When I finished with this, I said "OK, this will work..." Elfa would have been three times what I paid for this set (the white fluctuated WAY down when I pulled the trigger). And inflation been inflatin’... I went with this. This is the no-cut telescoping set. It goes from about 48.5" to 8' In order to telescope, one shelf has to be larger than the other. So, one shelf is 12" deep and the other a little under. If you're using the shelving for something different and need perfectly matching shelves, this isn't the set for you. This set's strength is it's weakness (for me). The double layer of shelving looks weird. Luckily, my installation required no overlapping shelving. My closet is EXACTLY 4' wide. The shelves are overcut by about a half inch. This wasn't a no-cut system for my installation; I had to cut one rung off each shelf. I used a Dremel. The instructions said hang the horizontal Hang Rail at 86.5". I rounded up to 87" because I have suit jackets and cascading pant hangers and wanted to make sure they cleared the shelf and floor. If you're shorter (or don't care about your clothes resting on stuff, you can go lower. My ceilings are kind of high; I can imagine standard 8' ceilings would look weird with the system starting so close to the ceiling. At 87", the pants hanger can hang on either level. Added a pic of that. The height also makes that shelf slightly usable (without the pant hanger, shorter things 4-5" high) The anchors are fine. I've used this style on other projects. You just fold the wings back towards you tamp it in using the anchor pin and insert the screw. They are for new construction. Half inch drywall, no skim coats. I'm working with 100 year old plaster so I went with metal toggle bolts. If you have a newer house, you may be fine. Get some toggle bolts if you think you have thicker drywall, plaster, or or a skim coat. I have a lot of leftover Elfa odds and ins. A couple of them actually work with this set (a literal couple, 2. And one only on the deeper shelf). The systems are not interchangeable. The hierarchy for these track systems is def Elfa>Rubbermaid>Closetmaid. The fit and finish of this system, for someone who's as picky as me, leaves a little to be desired. The shelf brackets are poorly painted. It would be one thing if they were mostly hidden but I'm looking at gray primer or base metal as soon as I open my closet door. The rod holders are plasticky. The end caps are plasticky, and big, and don't match (that telescoping strength being a weakness again) My eye would go to the mismatched end caps every day. Luckily I didn't need to use them either. Over all, I'm happy with the system. If you've never used Elfa, you'll be ecstatic. You get all the functionality of the higher priced system for much less. You can easily double your closet space. Installation was a breeze (minus cutting that one rung off, and that wasn't difficult. I'd use a hacksaw if I didn't have a Dremel) Edit: When its jammed packed with clothes you don't see the poorly painted brackets

Best bang for the buck,
I bought one of these to test it for my triplex. I tried to hang it myself, after the 5th hole I decided to hire a handyman before I turned my wall into swiss cheese. It comes with both drywall anchor bolts and wood screws, I couldn't find my studs (story of my life) and didn't feel comfortable using the drywall anchors since they're suppose to be at least 4" from a stud and I wasn't sure where they were. The handyman hung it fine, but I noticed after he left that there were empty holes. He said the kit didn't come with enough. It was missing about 2/3 of the screws that there are holes for. He said it was very secure and it didn't need any more. Eventually, I had another handyman put some in just to be safe but he was probably right. As for the design, I'm quite pleased, it does offer many options on how to arrange your shelves. Also, the quality is pretty decent. It's nice that clothes on hangers can slide past the supports, very cool design. I ended up buying one additonal pack of 2 shelves to use up the vacant space. When I went back to OSH to get another set they had run out and it's now discontinued or "obsolete" in OSHish. It is so rare that I actually like something I buy enough to want to get more and then it's gone! So I googled it and found it on Amazon at a fraction of the price I paid on sale at OSH. Plus free shipping! I ordered another 5 of them for the other units and my spare closet. The only thing I'd suggest to make it more awesome is really sketch out where your studs are, where you plan on putting the verticles because although it's very flexible to get the optimum amount of shelfing configurations you really need to have the verticles more evenly spaced as it shows on the box. If you're putting it up yourself, don't forget to place the rubbermaid bracket hider panel up before you hang the verticles or you've buried it like my handyman did. Having left over parts isn't really the best way to install anything. First thing you have to do is measure from the ground I think it's 86" up (the box says the amount) then you hang the back horizontal brace bar. Once that's up and level you hang the verticles off of it. So, that's why it needs to be covered up with it's plastic bolt cover panels, but the top shelf fits right in front of it and will hide most of it anyway. This is by far the best way to save money and get a really decent looking closet system. It's not high end, but it's not cheap looking either. Lament wood is probably the next step up, but that can peal and age. As long as you don't have any kids messing with it, it appears it should last. If I was able to hang it myself and it came with the more screws I'd have given it a 5th star. That would have made it perfect, but it's pretty darn close.

Perfect for Oddly Shaped Closet
We wanted to add more efficient storage to a corner closet in a bedroom. The depth on either side of the closet is only 11.5” and 13.5” so we needed something without a lot of depth. We purchased two Rubbermaid Closet Kits (the 4-6 ft. and 2-4 ft. kits) and combined most of the pieces to create this configuration. The previous configuration had a clothing rod (not pictured) spanning in front of the corner shelves making them very difficult to get to. The new configuration is completely open and I made sure to connect the shelves in the corners for maximum space. One important feature to note is that there are A shelves and B shelves. The B shelves can overlap the A shelves, then they are locked into place with sliding locks that are built into the top of the brackets. This means NO CUTTING if the shelves don’t match the measurements needed. I used tiny clear zip ties to secure the shelves to each other where they met in the corners, though they weren’t absolutely necessary. The far left side is intended for longer dresses/pants and we may add other accessories like drawers or shoe racks if we find that we can spare the clothing space. These were easy to install, the instructions were very clear, and I completed the job in a short amount of time. They are sturdy and attractive. We’re very happy we purchased these!
