I’ve tried everything under the sun for self tanning especially when I was pregnant and everything I’ve ever used is orange or streaky etc. this comes in a dark shimmer as well but I only get the one that looks like a white lotion when you apply it. You run it on just like lotion and use a decent amount like you’re moisturizing. Rub it in evenly all over until its mostly absorbed into the skin, just be careful around the ankle abs elbow areas I always kinda of brush my hands on those parts after I’ve already done my body that way it’s still on my hands but just moistened enough to give it slight color without it leaving the ankle and elbow area darker or orange looking. Just one use of this changes your color dramatically (in a good brown way) and it last about a week but if you reapply it for a few days you’ll be set for a few weeks! I only apply it at night that way when I shower in the morning the color has already set in and you’re ready to go😁 I love using it on my face too! It’s the most natural looking self tanner I’ve come across and I’ve been using it for years I just hate that I can’t find it in stores anymore but was thankful to find it on here!

I was really squeamish to try inexpensive self-tanning products. I've only ever used Clarins, which is one of the best in the industry, but who really wants to pay $50-60 for a few ounces of self-tanner? Now that I'm in grad school I have to pinch pennies, so Clarins is not an option. The Banana Boat Deep Dark Color on most websites always had really high reviews so I thought I'd give it a try.Very quick fulfillment from the seller through Prime - I ordered this on a Friday afternoon and it arrived on my door Tuesday morning.I used it yesterday on my legs and within 4 hours my legs had an even, dark, natural-looking tan! I could totally tell the difference because I didn't do my lower ankles or feet (since I hadn't exfoliated) and it looked like I had a sock line! I didn't think the first application would give so much color, but it did! It does have that weird self-tanner smell but it's not too powerful.This morning I shaved my legs and thought the tanner would come off completely. It didn't. You could see some of it coming off the razor but after my shower my legs just looked a little lighter. I was relieved to find the tan was still visible and still even, no razor lines. Looks like this should be a low-maintenance way too keep my legs looking sun kissed all summer!Having glowing legs really boosted my mood - the tan sort of evens out your skin and keeps your leg veins from being visible. Give your skin this gift and STOP ruining your skin in tanning beds, ladies!

I've ordered this many times over and love it! I've never had a 'bad' tube. It's a great product and goes on smoothly, evenly and always leaves me with a perfect tan look. I've never been disappointed and know I'll be continuing to order it many times in the future!

I actually tried this the first time to see what it was like, and the color is decent and it depends how heavy of a layer you put on. If you put a light layer you get a lighter golden brownish color and it dries reasonably fast compared to some and the areas I tested it didnt streak (again shave, exfoliate and use gloves/tanning mitt) and its lasted a few days. My body normally picks up the self tanning smell quickly but this one didnt stink of self tanner really, which I was sirprised as normally my acids in my skin emphasize it lol Also you know how they say the tanners dont get past our 'dead skin cells' I thought of something, we exfoliate before we put these things on so it does get into our skin and blood....remember how parabens enter our body through skin products and affect our endoctrine sytem etc? its cuz our skin soaks it up, so I might not be using self tans with DHA anymore and read the DHA can be harmful and prevents vit D absorbtion. MIght just use my cocoa brown wash off tan...apply it then wait 20 min then gently with your hand wash it off gently so it lightens abit dont use hot water just cool water and no facecloth. Then pat dry or air dry and you will still have a tan and it wont rub off or come off :) Gotta find a organic wash off, but this is a good self tan if you dont mind the ingredients. If you layer it too much it will go orangeyish, but one thin layer is good a golden brown.

I bought this item so I wouldn't need to tan in the booths as much because I love to be tan. I put a thin layer on and it gave me a great glow the next day, after a shower is always better since you smell fresh and self tanners always leave a little tint on your palms and between your fingers, after you shower though your good. I put this on my face since that's the one place that's hard for me to tan and it looked great very natural color. Since I'm already tan this works great I don't know how this would work if your pale wanting to be tan. I'm naturally really pale but tan with a good lotion. Like I said I'm using this for the upkeep of my tan so I don't need to tan as much. Great product I would recommend! If you are going to plan on using this a lot id buy 2 since it will go fast doing your entire body all the time. Can't beat the price!

First foray into tanning cream, as I'd always before thought it was girlish. Found this stuff upon searching for good tanning cream for men. Smell is very Banana-Boatish, and not too bad at all...compared to the stuff my wife uses. Goes on very smoothly and easily. Does not feel sticky. If you wash your hands right after, will not stain your hands. Also, don't shower right after, or it washes away most of it (duh). Seems to keep a good base color for about 3-4 days, which works for me. Not orange-ish...a good, natural hue. My only issue is that it gets into the cuticles of my toenails and stains them sometimes, and also it gets dark in the wrinkles/folds around knees/toes, etc. I'm guessing that's just an application issue on my end, though. Really like this stuff.
