Works great at snow removal when it works
The problem I had with the first one was it would not start. I shipped it back and the second one had a problem with the safety switch It would stop every few seconds. I had to squeeze the safety bail as tight as I could and it would still stop running. I shipped that back and the replacement #3 had the same switch problem. I'm expecting delivery on # 4 any day now. Hopefully before winter is over. When it works it does a great job. I noticed this model is not available from SNO JOE direct. It's only available on Amazon.

Great machine except for battery
This is my 3rd Snow Joe snowblower- my last one ran many years. I love them. I purchased this machine to replace my last when the chute broke. This one does a great job of clearing the snow- better than the last one and I had already received comments on how surprised my neighbors were on how well the last one did for a non-gas operated blower.I'm in MN and this last storm brought over a foot of snow. I was plowing snow with this snow blower that was close to my knees and this machine was a champ. Cleared it right to the concrete. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the battery life and the fact that I can't shut off the headlight. I only plow in the daytime, so I don't need it and with how quickly the battery goes down, even if the headlight doesn't use much- I want ALL the juice to go to plowing, not running the light. It appears that as the battery gets low- it shuts down the machine pretty frequently, so you have to re-start it to have it go a short distance and shut down again. I had to clear my driveway in 3 sessions- waiting for the batteries to recharge. I just ordered an additional couple of batteries, so that will help.

Not very useful
First of all, I have been very happy with other Snow Joe and Sun Joe products. I have a pressure washer, trimmer, leaf blower, power rake, and snow shovel that all work great. This item is easy to assemble, the batteries charge easily, and it turns on quickly with the safety switch. It works well until it comes in contact with snow. With about 2” of snow on the sidewalks, it runs for about a minute and then shuts down. I bought this for our church, and it did not work well. I contacted support and they did send a replacement and a label to return it. Unfortunately, the new one seems to have the same issue. It works fine until it comes in contact with snow and cold. I will try again and if they get a replacement that works, I will gladly revise this review.

Works great on Chicago snow
The Snow Joe works great even on the heavy, slushy snow we've gotten twice this week. It really throws it away easily and the snow blower is very light. We used to have a gas snowblower but I had a hard time getting it started and didn't like the dealing with or the smell of the gas/oil. This is very simple to use ... push the button, hold the handle. Simple. That being said, the battery doesn't last that long especially when it's deep. Both of the snows I used it on fell overnight so the first clean up in the morning, I could only finish the drive and about 1/3 of the sidewalk. But when I went out every couple hours, I was able to do everything on a charge. So, for me, I snow blow until the battery stopped then charge for about 2 hours then go out again. It's worked. I think I would like to buy another set of batteries but I am having a hard time finding them. It would be nice if the charge lasts longer but that's just what you get with a lithium battery. I still think it's better than shoveling or using the gas blower.

Great Snowblower for Chicago
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about this snowblower, but it's proven to be a great purchase. My husband and I are in our 50s and our kids have been on us about not having a heart attack by shoveling the snow that hits Chicago. This year, we finally purchased a blower. Our driveway holds about 4 cars. Our sidewalk in front is about 50 yards. As much as that might not be a lot of space, please consider that we live in Chicago. When those plows go down the street, we get a massive amount of snow at the end of the driveway apron. That apron can take as long as doing the whole driveway and it definitely is heavier snow. Our first snow in Chicago was light. The second however was heavy and wet. It had snowed for about 8 hours and we had a good amount outside. My husband went out, with a lot of resistance (as he doesn't want to give up shoveling by hand), and used the new blower. It tackled the job, including the heavy snow at the apron, without difficulty. When he came in, he commented on how easy it was to use and loved the headlights. The battery life was no problem. We are definitely pleased with the purchase. Hope this helps!

Lots of plastic and two main broken pieces that were plastic.
Wasn’t packaged very well as there were two plastic pieces broken on it. This item had good reviews and that’s why I purchased it. Didn’t realize it was made with so much plastic. Definitely will not hold up for years to come but a decent price for a starter snow blower. I contacted the manufacturer and they were out of stock on the broken items. What does that tell you? So I had to disassemble the snow blower and get it back in the box for replacement. Not an easy task plus the box is bulky and very heavy for an older person. None the less, I got it packed up and UPS picked it up. I won’t get my replacement blower until they receive that one. Snow is coming again in a couple of days. Doubt I’ll get it by then.

Better than I expected and amazing after sale service!!!!!!!!!!!
This unit cleans my whole driveway (80 feet long) on one charge. But I am most impressed with the after sale service. There was a small shipping issue which was resolved instantly in my favor. I recommended this unit to a few friends who are blown away by the performance of this snowblower.

Great little machine.
This blower works great in normal snow. It is a bit sluggish when it is plowing through slushy snow. The chute clogs up with wet snow also. Overall I gave it a 4 star rating.

Not good for canadian winter
I got this about a month ago. Got to use it twice . Once on about 6 to 8 inches of light fluffy snow and it worked pretty well except unit kept shutting off after 10 minutes or so of use and I had to wait 1 or 2 minutes to restart. Dont excpect anymore then 30 minutes run time so I got 2 extra batteries. 2nd time was in 8+ inches of packing snow and this unit was usless, could not go through it. If you live where you only get light fluffy snow not a bad unit but overpriced for what it can do. Any other type of snow and it becomes a waste of money. Only gave 1 star because it is light and easy to move.

Excellent services
I purchased Sun Joe (lawn mower) about 3/4 years ago, love that equipment. So I purchase Snow Joe from the same company this time. The item arrived earlier than expected, however it did not work as what I expected. Contacting the seller, they provided options for return & refund or replacement. Excellent service.
