SYLVANIA9145ST.BP - 9145 SilverStar Fog Light Bulb - High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, Brighter Downroad with Whiter Light (Contains 1 Bulb)

As the original owner of my 1999 3000GT SL, I just replaced both original fog light bulbs with these SYLVANIA - H3 SilverStar Fog Light Bulb - High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulbs and it's a big improvement already from the OEM "Basic" yellowish color.I recently noticed that the passenger side fog light had burned out. I check my lights regularly, the last time being around Christmas (December 2019), so it's only been out for a short time. In the 20+ years I've owned the car, I've never needed to replace either bulb.I first removed the burned out bulb so I could find an exact replacement here on Amazon, which I was able to find easily. I ordered two to replace both bulbs, since the driver's side was also over 20 years old. In my research I learned that if one bulb goes, especially if its old, it's best to replace both sides.PHOTOS:Amazon changed the order of the photos after I posted this review, so hopefully this clarifies the order:The 1st photo shows both fog light bulbs replaced with the Sylvania H3 Silverstar.The 2nd photo shows the Mitsubishi OEM bulb I removed from the passenger side that was burned out.The Third photo shows the OEM burned out fog light bulb (on the left/passenger side).The 4th photo shows the comparison of the Sylvania H3 SilverStar left/passenger bulb and the OEM right/driver side (the Sylvania bulb on the left is only plugged in to make sure it worked....I had not put the fog light back together yet, so it looks crooked in the photo). The OEM bulb had the yellowish cast to it, like the Sylvania H3 "Basic", so I decided to get the SilverStar, which costs over 3X as much, but has a brighter color.So far, I really like these bulbs, but I'm curious how long they'll last, compared to the original Mitsubishi equipped bulbs.

Better than Ford OEM. A bit whiter and brighter for better night vision.

Like them. They last just fine when installed correctly. While they aren't as bright as their Ultra cousins, Ultras as not available in this bulb size. This tried and true Silverstar is much better and brighter than OEM fog halogen bulbs. Reasonable price too. Since supplemental illumination to the main headlights, go for Ultras as your main low/high beams and use these Silverstars for your fog lights and you'll be impressed. If your car is older, I'd strongly suggest having your lens professionally buffed and polished (and maybe even rinsing the insides with isopropyl alcohol to remove the inside-of-the-lens dust) to get maximum illumination improvement. If you do this extra step, I'd also strongly advise you regularly use a UV protectant on the cleaned lenses since the plastic will otherwise rapidly cloud if exposed to the sun on a daily basis. Diamondvision is an easy to use sprayon option for just this purpose.
