Ultrasonic Steam Hair Straightener with Floating Ceramic Plates & Treatment Flat Iron

No matter what i do my hair if i do not blow dry it or use a straightener on it my hair is a puffy matted mess.I have very fine hair and i can honestly say i hate it until i used this hair straightner!It has so many features I love everything about it, the quality, adjustable temperature, fast heating time, extra long 360 degree swivel cord, weight, design and shape.I like the way it glides through my hair and the way it straightens my hair. It has steam function, you have to fill water and turn the mist on. The steam penetrates deeply into the hair shaft and delivers the ultimate smooth, shiny finish.I can give my hair a super cute fake fringe and much more. I love my hair now since i got this straightner it has changed everything!(I received this product for free or at a discount price but my opinions are my own)

Well, I gave this Sela product a try as their other steam hair straightener with the ceramic bristles wouldn't produce steam. This one did produce steam, but it is not very functional. The piece that holds the water is very small, maybe 15cc at most and the steam comes out continuously unless you turn it off. Most of the steam straighteners have it the other way around, i.e., you push a button while you're straightening your hair when you want the steam to come out. With the steam constantly on (again, unless manually turned off), you have to refill the small water holder VERY frequently. The other problem is the steam comes up from one port in a stream. It seems this would be effective, but it doesn't steam all of the hair that is being straightened. In addition to that, because the steam is dispensed in an upward stream on one side of the straightener, it condensed on the iron and hot water was dripping onto my hands! I suppose one could solve these problems by wearing gloves to prevent the hot water burns, and have a small applicator bottle nearby to refill the small water container; but for me, it's too much inconvenience for a product that does not have any other special features to warrant these modifications. Unfortunately, this Sela product will be the second I've returned... will stick with my tried and true Maxius steam straightener.

I've had better irons than this one but for the price its ok. Seems I have more flyaways compared to other irons. Weird. I also don't like that the plate is divided in the middle. So if you're not careful you can leave an indent in your hair of the two plates.

I like it, just wish the water holder was bigger so you wouldn't have to fill it so frequently.

First off let me say I was ready to return this iron because it seemed too much trouble to use....I mean I have a lot of short hair and could only get very small sections through the opening. I loved the mist and the smoothness but give me a break, I can't spend that much time doing my hair! The absolute funny part was, I didn't have it unlocked! I got back on Amazon to read through the comments again and looked at the photos that were posted to see if anyone else shared my experience. Nope, I was the only one that had this flat iron challenge. Duh, the bells rang when I read it locks for easy storage! Got my flat iron out and went through it again and there was the lock. I unlocked it and low and behold it was perfect! Now I can say truthfully say I love this flat iron and am glad I chose it. It is worth the money once you unlock it!

I just wanted to update this review and this item: If I could return it still or exchange for something else, I'd be so happy! This has remained in the box, I couldnt figure out how the steam option. Lol. But I did ge a good ionic one I liked from the mall, those dang salesmen...lol!
