Finally found it. I used to have a similar set as kid, but my set (robot) would shoot the arms. I loved it when I was a kid, I remember exactly like this one a 3 pice robot.

Great modern upgrade from Godaikin. So much more smooth and flexible while keeping all the transformation mechanics.

Fans of classic Japanese die cast robots such as Godaiken/Chogokin will somewhat fondly remember Gordon or Gardian depending on translation. The original was the first of the Russian nesting doll type robots. The original figure is fondly remembered but rarely seen because it suffered from the Popy Metalic Blue Plastic that crumbled to powder over the years. Although a decent specimen can be see on the tv show Rizzoli and Aisles, on one of the detectives desks.After wanting a new Gordon for many years. While CMs made one it was notoriously fragile. Finally we were getting a new Bandai SOC Gordion, hopefully similar to the excellent GX-39 Baikanfu. (A robot that was originally derived from a reworked/repainted Gordion toy for use in Machine Robo)What we got was… not that. Gordion is a nice robot. He’s a huge SOC standing substantially taker than Baikanfu. But he’s missing something. It has nicely executed versions of pilot Daigo Otaki, small robot Protessor, Middle Robot Delinger and the big blue robot Garbin. Everything combines well, although articulation is a bit limited. But Garbin is a bit off. He’s neither anime accurate, nor a replica of the classic toy. But rather a hybrid of the two. That satisfy’s neither fan. The biggest issue is how gappy the robots are. With huge visible hollow open spaces unless all three are nested. So they look horrible when displayed separated. Baikanfu got around that issue by including black plastic dummy inserts for when the robots were empty. Gordion doesn’t do that.The set has a ton of accessories. That I’m not going to run through. They are the standard and expected vast assortment of Chogokin hands weapons etc. it’s a nice robot. It just feels like a throwback to the 1980’s Godaiken era. But at today’s prices. Die cast robot design has come a long way sinc3 then. Bandai’s recent offerings generally reflect this. This one not so much. It feels very old school for good or ill.

This figure is definitely hated by many due to the high expectations everyone had, also because its not anime accurate.Well I grew up watching Gordian and i get everyone's point, i was skeptical about getting it due to the YouTube videos. After looking at the old pictures of the classic toy i realized what Bandai wanted to do and that was to remake the old poppy toy. I already own the cm version so having a non screen accurate to the collection its worth it.Now that I own both this new Gordian stands out over the old cm figure. Happy i got it.

Pacco arrivato subito e mi sono stupito di quanto é grande il Gordian, tutti i minirobot si incastrano benissimo come delle matrioske. Cose negative sono che solo il modellino blu é in metallo (Protesser) mentre il modellino di Daigo ha la faccia di che corrisponde poco all'anime ed é pitturato male (Doveva avere gli occhi azzurri).
