Awesome Product!
Called a locksmith to repair broken lock on my sliding glass door. He said they are mega hard to repair. Have to find the exact brand and original company to match it up.Then Found on a Google Search a guy who said its EZ and explained how to match up measurements and see if you have a straight or 45° angle to pick the right lock. This one, a 45° one, is the most common one.Dirt cheap. EZ to install. That locksmith is a dummy! Easy DIY project! Highly recommend.

Doesn’t feel sturdy
We are using it but it's not very good. When you unlock it the leaver doesn't seat back in it ever. We had a hard time latching it we had to move the door back and forth to get the lock engaged. We are using it because the 1 we had was completely broken. I don't know if we just got a bad 1 or if they just aren't made well. I am a former lock smith so yes it was installed properly

Measure Twice-Buy Once!
Was a perfect replacement for my patio door's mortise lock....BUT, that's because I did my measuring and checking to ensure it would fit.....Saved me from just going out and buying an entire new patio door...BE sure not to over tighten the screws that hold the inside and outside handles on, or it willbind up the works.......ALSO-Only remove the TOP and BOTTOM screws to get the mortise lock body out.Although you have to take the handles off first, as their screws pass through this....The two screws towards the middle of the lock body are not to be removed..They hold the latch assembly in place, so you don't want to loosen those at all..Otherwise, I've always been happy with Prime-Line products as they are usually a direct replacement for OEM parts...Again, you just have to check your measurements/style to ensure you order the correct part...

Check that your patio door frame has sufficient depth to receive this mortise lock.
Double check the depth of your patio door frame because this did not fit my frame by about a 1/4 inch.

CLOSE to original but sloppy
A day before an out of state trip my lock breaks. I get this and hope it works. It came with a plate I had to remove for my door. When installed it WILL lock the door. It is pretty shot though. The for will move about 1/4". There is an adjustment screw but you can't adjust it while the door is closed. I think the adjustment is at one of its limit and it is still sloppy.
