Gearmo IR778 USB Smart Infrared Device for UWATEC Dive Computer Works on Windows and MAC

This item worked as described. I have a new Intel based Apple MAC BookPro. I wanted to use my UWATEC dive computer and JTrak on my apple. I plugged in the USB infrared adapter launched JTrak and it immediately picked up the dive computer and transferred all my dives. It could not have been easier.

I am using this with a Gallileo Luna dive computer. I installed it on Windows 7. Installation was not difficult. I do need to keep the probe pretty close to the computer or I will loose connection. The cost was worth trying vs the one from the manufacturer.

I have not been able to get this to work with El Capitan, OS X. 10.10.5 despite making inquiries in this regard before I purchased this. The support emails tell me to do what I have already done. The last response I got from them was asking who told me it would run on El Capitain. I have spent many hours to no avail and still can't connect my dive computer to my laptop. Very disappointing.

Works great. Communicates well with my Galileo Luna dive computer. It is half the price from elsewhere. Recommend this unit for transfer of data of the Luna

Works perfect on Win7 and Win8 and connects just fine to the dive computer. You may need to play with the computer settings though...

The tiny disk won't work in a disk drive that doesn't have a tray.

This worked perfectly for my Mac Book Pro and UWATEC Smart Com.

Works great with my Aladin 2G and Smartrak. Also has the benefit of being ~50$ cheaper than the official Uwatec/Scubapro irDA bundle.
