UF Pro Striker Gen 3 Boonie Hat - Military Tactical Brim Hat, Sun Cap for Men Hunting Fishing Outdoor Camping

I've known of UF Pro's products for a number of years now, and I can say I've never been disappointed in their product lines for people involved in every facet of tactical type environments. End users have first hand knowledge of what works and what doesn't when it comes to keeping cool in the Amazonian like jungle heat, on the ocean in a boat where there's little shade, or in a hide waiting to ensnare a future meal in their sights. So when this company came out with a style of boonie hat almost identical to how I modified mine many years ago to keep me cooler in the summer, I jumped in with both feet like a paratrooper in heat! It came in and I immediately threw it on and experienced several nostalgic memories I'd made in my youth. Not only was this boonie very affordable, especially for someone on a very tight budget, (who isn't these days!?) but comfort, color availability, and fit were spot on! Living in the southeast United States, summers can get brutal with humidity driving up the 'feels like' temperatures, and add in the occasional trip east into Texas or Arizona dry heat along the border, this hat excelled in keeping the sun and sweat out of my eyes! Venting was added in all the right places for relevant air flow over the head, as well as loop fabric for identifying patches where needed. A stiff wire added to the front and rear brims adds an even better adaptability in configuring for rain water run off or throwing off the human shape element of blending camouflage. Overall a great piece of kit!

Excellent quality. Very Breathable and the wire in the brim makes it highly formable to any shape you like. Folds flat easily. Sizing runs on the small side so buy a size larger if you don’t prefer a tight fit

This is the second hat of this kind that I have purchased. The hat fits very well and I like the wire brim that makes it easy to shape to my liking. Very good quality hat.

I really like the hat. It dont look like one of the cheap ones everywhere. It has the look i wanted. But i could have sworn i orderd a large and got a medium. Technically if the size chart was accurate medium would fit. This thing runs super small. Like i want to swap it. But like it so much i dont want to return and wait for another.

Buy one or 2 sizes up from your normal size, great quality super lightweight and comfortable, well worth the money.

I have a relatively large head, so I purchased size 7 3/4 hats in the past. however, UF Pro uses Small - XXL sizing based on inches of head circumference. I ordered the XX Large, which turns out to fit great. The construction appears to be durable, though I mainly wear it when I'm doing outdoor work on the house or yard. I'm not in the military and am not regularly camping or hunting, so I don't put it to extreme use, which might speed up the wear-and-tear. The wire in the brim works to alter and hold the shape to ensure I can see optimally while also blocking the sun. The mesh on the front and back allows for decent airflow, which is valuable to me in hot weather. I've had a few boonie hats over the years and liked all of them. This UF Pro version is probably my favorite, and I imagine it'll last a long time based on how I use it.

Highest quality. I really like the chin strap design. The wire on the brim is great but will throw off a compass. The padding helps a LOT on a bright sunny day. Sturdy material. Comfortable and looks good. Fits my 59cm head well.

I like the hat ,BUT! They sent the wrong color and thats a big deal to me since I was trying to match it up with an expensive hunting outfit I purchased this year. And so far they've not offered to correct this problem. That said if they cant beat this Im done with this seller.
