Good value, but recommend replacing lids with alternatives
At this point, Pyrex and Anchor are about equal when it comes to quality tbh. Why pay more for a brand that has mostly lost its competitive edge when it comes to quality? That said, this is a pretty thorough variety of sizes. I don't have great spatial awareness of 2 cups vs 4 cups and so on, so I was surprised by how large the biggest in the box (7 cups) was in hand. Not really a super useful size, but handy for the one time I've realized I needed it. Thick glass that so far have been more useful than I had expected, having bought this set in a pique of research exhaustion and just wanting some glass containers to replace my Tupperware. The lids are bare minimum functional (which might be where Pyrex still has a slight edge?). We all know this kind of plastic lid is serviceable at best and gets loose and gross pretty quickly with normal use. I preemptively bought some Sophico silicone lids to replace the included lids when they inevitably become too loose or gross to use. The Sophico so far fit really well, though I've not yet tested their watertightness or airtightness. I've only used these in the microwave sans the included lids because microwave-safe just means it won't melt, not that the heat won't destabilize the plastic and increase leeching into foods.I can see where the inner and outer layers of glass meet, and in some units there appears to be some gaps/bubbles that may or may not present an issue in the future? Glass is lovely, but inherently includes the risk of using glass. But since the time I dropped an empty Bon Mamon jar and watched it bounce right off my kitchen floor with nary a scratch, I've come to accept that generally the biggest danger is rapid temperature changes, which is something controllable.Anyway, this set offers a good variety, enough to help anyone dipping into kitchenware figure out what sizes they need more of, as well as whether the classic circle shape works for them or if they'd prefer rectangles.

Great product, except …
We (myself and spouse) find these bowls are a great product in an excellent range of sizes. We have used them for quite a few years and use them extensively for freezing liquid and solid foods, reheating and food preparation. Two weak areas … lids … they’re a good tight fit but have a tendency to split at the lip edge (and become instantly useless) with annoying frequency. We aren’t rough with them and gently ease the lids on … but they still split from time to time and are a disproportionately expensive part of the product. I think modern plastics technology should be capable of a more durable product. Stacking … these bowls don’t stack “nicely”. Avoid stacking them straight out of the dishwasher … they’ll “lock up” as they cool, particularly if the lower bowl is warmer. “Upper” bowls tend to chip the rim of lower bowls (and that’s “bin” time for us). We have made plastic “spacer” blocks so that the stacked bowls can’t contact each other … chipping problem solved … the manufacturer should have solved the problem before we HAD TO. We stick with them because they’re so practical and useful. THEY COULD BE BETTER.
