This Thing Called You

I read Ernest Holmes's SCIENCE OF MIND years ago. I thought it was interesting, but it didn't change my life. THIS THING CALLED YOU, however, is causing me to examine, shift, grow, explore, and take charge of my life in ways I never thought possible as a result of reading a tiny book. Unlike many modern day self-help authors, who sometimes pad a book, repeating what they have to say over and over, Holmes has filled this book with uniquely inspiring thought throughout. I'm underlining so much of it, because it is so profound.I would recommend this book to anyone looking to make positive changes in their life, especially those who feel alone and need support or want more courage for the journey. No matter what you might be dealing with, this book provides a new mind-set that I feel will help a person regardless of outcomes.Before reading this book, I felt victimized in many of my personal relationships. The exercises in this book helped me realize how these relationships related to a "lack" thinking that I held, one in which I felt that I had to put up with a lot of garbage from people because I believed that friendship was hard to find. Holmes would want better for me and so does the Infinite. If you want better in your life, I recommend you read this book!

I have read this book a number of times, and I wish someone had given it to me when I was younger and worried about everything. I havegiven it to a number young girls in the hopes that it can give them a better perspective on how important and perfect they are, regardless ofwhat anyone else thinks, or says. Just think all young girls should find that small light inside and keep it going..

I'm enjoying this book and Ernest Holmes has changed my way of thinking about life. I'm giving 1 star because the book I received from bnpublishing looks like a ripoff of the book. There is no spacing between paragraphs which makes the book hard to read. I'm in a study group and can't follow along because my pages don't match theirs. Do not let bnpublishing send you their version of this book.

This book is priceless. Much easier to read front to back than Science of Mind. I read this every morning, out loud to myself; the peace I feel in doing this is priceless. No matter what my struggles, the words in this book always ground me. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic book. As more and more people discover the truth of who/what they actually are, there is the possibility of more harmony and less suffering becoming a possibility, first on the individual level. Based largely upon the sayings of Jesus Christ and what those sayings reveal to us of how Christ experienced Himself and how we could be experiencing ourselves, Ernest Holmes was way ahead of his times and a genius at making subtle truths crystal clear.

...or finally remembering in exquisite detail the elusive dream whose wispy fragments somehow made you happy, reading “This Thing Called You” will resonate deep within you and remind you of who you really are. (And who you really are is really wonderful.)

I'm a Science of Mind person and have read many of Ernest's works. All good but THIS is by far my favorite. Definitely a must have. Even if you're not a member of a SOM center...this is a wonderful read for anyone.

I I viewed a few negative reviews on this product mainly because of the publishing company. I’m not sure if it makes a difference if you order from Amazon Prime or different seller. The one I received is the correct edition published by Penguin Group. In new as stated condition. A wonderful author, A small book I keep with me at all times. I’m a prime member so I don’t know if that makes a difference. Anyway I am very happy with my purchase and give it five stars.

Wonderful book. One of those books you can pick up when you are feeling a bit small and inadequate (I feel we all have those odd moments), and it lifts you. That's the thing I love so much about all the best spiritual teachings, and Ernest knows just how to give you exactly what you need at the right moment. A great healer of spirit.

An excellent book to help oneself get a better understanding of oneself, those in and around one's life and the life we are living.

I am a fan of Ernest Holmes and this book does NOT resemble a bonafidework of Mr Holmes. I am very much doubting this is a genuine book.Very disappointed, and wonder about BNPublishing.Sorry very bad review

Ich lese sehr gerne Autoren im Original. Ernest Holmes kannte ich bisher noch nicht, daher ist dieses Büchlein für mich eine echte Entdeckung. Er nimmt offensichtlich einen wichtigen Platz ein in der Geschichte der New Thought Bewegung und ich verstehe beim Lesen, warum. Verblüffend, wie gut er bestimmte Zusammenhänge erklärt.
