I bought this because I seem to have a sensitivity and allergic reaction to most shampoos with sulfates. This last reaction was pretty bad, so I needed something to soothe my scalp big time. I've used this shampoo twice and it is working already to calm the itching and irritation. The bottle size is larger than I expected and the price is what I might pay at a salon. I do have to wash, rinse and repeat to get my thick hair clean but product use is not excessive. You won't get a head full of lather, but it still cleans. It is just different, so don't expect the same performance as a sulfate shampoo. I would recommend you give it a try. I may continue to use it regularly as my new shampoo to prevent flare ups.

Doesn't lather well. I use a lot of it at one time.

I had always dandruff and use head and shoulders but the formula was so strong that I was having a lot of hair loss, so I tried this shampoo and I can really see the difference, my dandruff is gone , my scalp is healthy and my hair barely falls when I brush it after washing it

I've used nioxin for a few years due to postpartum hair loss and itchy scalp and the original system worked great. Lately it's been out of stock so I figured this could work out just as well. Big no. My hair feels and looks like I forgot to rinse the conditioner out. For a few days there, I actually questioned whether I did or not. Nope. Still looked like a shaggy wet dog with bottom shelf mousse in their hair. People say the scent was nice... To be honest I didn't even notice any scent.
