Very Creative and Interesting Album...
Nelly Furtado is a bouncy, honest, and somewhat goofy artist. She can express certain feelings in very unique ways but you can identify with them. This Cd is an excellent example of her talents. My favorites on this album are: "Hey Man!", "On The Radio", and "My Love Grows Deeper". I like all of the other songs as well (I never listen to "I'm Like A Bird" or "Turn Off The Lights" because they were so overplayed!) and the album as a whole deserves 5 stars. Nelly Furtado is one of those rare artist like Jewel who can cover almost any branch of music without sounding "out of place". Great Work Nelly Furtado!

Yeah, Nelly!!
In the beginning, I knew this girl was special. But her voice was kinda annoying. However the more I listen to this cd, the more I like it. Her production and songwriting are the true gems of this album. I just had to get pass her voice, but I realize her voice is one of the layers what makes this album so good. My favorite songs are the haunting "Scared Of You", the funky "Remember The Days" and the fun "Baby Girl". This album has it all Latin, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Pop, and Rock. If her debut is THIS good, I can't wait for her next album.

Shipping perks
The CD is in great shape. I really liked that they shipped it with a little wipe to clean my hands with after opening the nicely wrapped shipping package.

What a great pop adventure this is!
I love Nelly. Seriously. She's very truthful and I find her spirit to be not only touching but relate-able and real. I love most of her lyrics, and although for Loose she resorted to a more R&B/dance type of deal, I still respect her highly as an artist. I just hope that she will revert back to this style for her 4th outing because this music is almost as good as it gets. There are a few tracks that skate on the filler side so I'll mention those first:Baby Girl - Has some OK lyrics, but it doesn't really stand out much.Trynna Find A Way - This song is far from bad. And is almost light years ahead of 95% of the crap that fills radio stations these days. I kind of like the vibe it gives off. And the guitar is kinda cool. But it could've been more, I guess. But that's it. The rest is solid stuff that is catchy but not ridiculously so, and you find yourself embarrassed to listen to it years later. None of that here.My favorite songs are (in order):Turn Off The Lights - Awesome lyrics. Just an awesome song in general. Love how she initially says, "It's getting so lonely inside this bed..."Party - Awesome lyrics. "I feel like falling asleep and never waking up. It's not that my glass is empty, I just need another cup."Well, Well - Very upbeat, catchy and makes you wanna dance it's so lovely! Gotta love it!Shit On The Radio (Remember The Days) - Good song. Has nice lyrics.Legend - Love the piano. Love the relaxing vibe it has.My Love Grows Deeper Part 1 - This song is awesome. I can't explain why, but it is.This CD is not to be missed. She even improves a bit with her second release, Folklore. I'd start with that. Unless, you aren't into different sounds because that CD isn't exactly radio-friendly.4.3 stars.I love your meaningful lyrics, Nelly. Come back to us, full-force on your next outing! I'm sure Loose was nice for what it was, but you know your full capabilities. Use them!!Edit: Loose WAS great too! It was just more dance-ready than both previous albums combined!

Her Sound is Addictive!
This is one of the best CDs I have purchased in some time. I can't stop playing it. It's rare that I enjoy absolutely every song on an album, but in this case, Nelly Furtado's sound is so different and upbeat that I can't say enough about it. Her sound is very unique, and can't be summed up in any one genre of music. Her lyrics come from the heart, and tell a story of where she's been. The radio plays plenty of "I'm Like A Bird", but this album has so much more to offer.

Sounds Better After Each Listen
This is a true eclectic gold mine. The one pop song "I'm Like a Bird" is just one tip of the iceberg of what Nelly can do. Every song is a winner and none are like the one before. The CD has it all. My favorite is "On the Radio" This really says a lot for Nelly and where she is in relation to the music of today. If you don't like "I'm Like a Bird" I urge you to check out the other songs on this CD--it is a true gem.

LOVE every song!
Every song is just fantastic! I'm playing the CD a LOT! My first real knowledge of Nelly Furtado. After buying this CD, I bought the other 2: Loose and Folklore; I hope I get to like them as much. But Whoa, Nelly! was NO struggle to get to love. A good workout CD as well. A lot of variety in the songs tempo and arrangement, but it all holds together
