Silly little bank
I gave this as a Xmas prezzie to my partner, and it is what it is, a candy little bank that's kind of a tribute to those turn of the century clockwork toys. It makes us smile, and we "tease" the dog by sticking our fingers into the bowl instead of coins. It might not be built sturdy enough for a ten year old. I don't know, it might be, but it sure makes us adults laugh.

Broken Toy, Heartbroken Kid
This thing was a huge hit - at first. My granddaughter absolutely loved it… until it stopped working. She had $5 in quarters to put in it - 20 lousy coins. It started to stutter around 8 quarters, and by 13 it started to seize up making clicking sounds and jerking and sticking in place. We changed to brand new batteries with the same results. Kiley cried for her “doggy to please eat”. She wouldn’t let me take it back so she’s stuck with a broken puppy bank. I bought two so my grandson will probably be unhappy as well.

great piggy bank
I bought this for the shop where I volunteer and we use it for donations for the Cancer society. Unfortunately sometimes after a while the rear gets disconnected and then it doesn't work so I've had to replace it a number of times. The last one I got arrived with the back legs disconnected but I figured out how to get them back into their slots so kept it. It is cute and always makes people smile when it "eats" their change.

Money saver
I ordered this for myself as I collect dog figurines. It's cute and well made. It works great. I'm sure a child would love to have this to save money in.

Very flimsy, comes apart very easily
Not very sturdy. Comes apart easily. Legs come undone. Doesn’t always collect the coin like it’s supposed to

So cute
My grandson loves this bank. He has been looking for coins all the time so he can watch.

Epitome of “made in China”
Item is a great idea, cute and entertaining in theory. However, I was disappointed upon opening 1 box to give it a whirl before gifting all 3 nephews with these. 1st impression: way too small, 2nd falling apart/easily breakable with plastic joints and wobbly, 3rd after adding battteries.. the little machine has to stay in the “on” position at all times meaning it’s loud and ticks, 4th the puppy doesn’t move smoothly- just not engineered well, the coins get stuck, it is much more functional as a puppy prop.. then you can just add a coin manually. In conclusion if this one is broken I’m not sure, but if a 30 year old adult has trouble with its operating I figure a child who would be gifted with this certainly would have trouble getting this to operate as intended. This is why I stick to buying American 90% of the time. Great idea, but didn’t come together well. For 4.99 I would have kept all 3. These are going back.
