After you read this book, you will look at history, and historicaldocumentaries, and perhaps wonder, Did Krupp furnish their weapons? Let me look back intomy book and find out!"Kind of ties things together nicely.Krupp and his sons were businessmen, and like many family businesses, willsign contracts with ANYONE, just to keep the heirlooms intact.

Very well written and researched. I have read the Arms of Krupp by William Manchester which is nearly 1000pages and dives much deeper into the family history and the atrocities during the 2 ww with several first person accounts of some of the survivors of the Krupp camps. This book I believe was written before the break up of the Business but has a great afterword that brings you up to 2001(if I remember right). I would say that Batty's book has less information before the war than Manchester's but has a very in depth account on the occupation and the dynamics of the allies takeover and cooperation with the Germans after the war that Manchester's book left me wanting.

had really expected much more pictures or original drawings of the arms, 340pages proza, only 4 pages pictures ..the history of the family is detailed but was not my expectationhence other purchases proofed much better : Deutsche Eisenbahn-Geschütze ( author Taube )
