Yes, they are disposable, but they can be used for several days if they aren't soiled.

I use the blue Covidien pads regularly for helping lift/adjust my husband in bed as he is paralyzed. He weighs about 175 lbs so these blue pads are plenty strong to support such maneuvers. Used them on a low air loss mattress, too, when he was recovering from multiple surgeries. They are the best ones I've ever had to use. As for the green ones, yes, they are for lift, re-positioning someone weighing up to 375 pounds. I'm guessing similar absorbency to the blue pads.

Yes, Covidien was bought out by Cardinal. They continue to advertise Covidien underpads but when you receive them, they say Cardinal and the quality is subpar. Cardinal should not be able to use the reputable name of Covidien and sell an inferior product.
