x1 Back Box Repair Clip Replace Damaged Threads or Lugs on Installed Electrical Metal Back Pattress Boxes

Excellent little clip, used it to repair broken off fixing tang on heating controller back box. Super easy to install, back box as good as new with very secure fixing. This little clip saved a lot of time and work by not having to replace a back box installed in a tiled splash back. Excellent product!

Excellent product. The initial problem was removing the old lug. But a multi-cutter with a heavy-duty metal-cutting blade took care of it Tapping the new clip into place was easy and it accepted a standard electrical screw no problem.

The back box I wanted to repair was quite deep in the wall, I found it almost impossible to get the clip on the side of the box. After quite some time I succeeded. The spring that holds the clip in place is very strong, so it's not going to fall off. If the box was at the surface, it would have been a lot easier. You need a gap at the side of the box to be able to clip it on and any protruding bits of metal on the side of the box need to be removed. Quite any expensive item, but unique and far quicker than having to replace the back box. I would recommend these.

Not used these ones yet but the last ones worked a treat and good to have a few spare for when you need them.

Well undoing a light switch I found one of the threaded ears in the back box was stripped and after some research I found these which worked perfectly, you remove the existing ear and clip one of these to the side of the back box. The issue I have (3 stars) is the cost / quantity @ £13 for 10, When most people would want just 1! in 20 years this is the only one I've replaced so the 9 left should be good to store these for another 180 years .. always have plenty of room in the shed. £5 for 2 would have been much better.

These are very good but, for me, fitting was a bit less than straightforward. I needed to clear plaster from the outside of the socket box - I used a kitchen knife. Then I had to bend the old fitting lugs flat with the box - I used a hammer and an old screwdriver to do this. I used the hammer and screwdriver to install the clips - they are a tight fit and can't be pushed on by hand. Finally, I had to widen the box to get the screws to line up - more hammering. But after all that the fit is good and the socket screws are done up tight.

Works a treat easily clips to the metal box thank you.
