Unlimited Power: A Black Choice

I had already owned the book of the same title for quite some time but had never read it. I suddenly decided to purchase a used copy of the audio program. I am so glad that I did!This audio was extremely inspiring and motivating. It starts with a wonderful, heartfelt introduction by Tony Robbins. The rest of the audio is presented by the smooth voice of Joseph McClendon. He starts with a powerful story from his personal life. McClendon then proceeds to pack the many ideas of Tony Robbin's Unlimited Power program into the rest of the tape. I feel he did a wonderful job of introducing how the techniques can be used to address the unique challenges faced by African Americans. The audio mentions the Rodney King and OJ Simpson incidents which I found fascinating looking back from the perspective of President Barack Obama being newly elected. I consider this an introduction or reminder of the techniques that I will listen to again and again.

I bought this for a good person, this book is helping her become a better person! Tony Robbins has been around for many years & makes a living out of helping others he understands the plight of having nothing & truly works to achieve for the greater good in others.If you are feeling down or just want to get out of a bad place, do not hesitate to read this book it will change your life!!

Although this special book is copywriter 1997, I treasure the authors’ sincere wisdom, research and helpful advice on living well for any reader, because it is applicable now. I bought 3 books for me and my 2 grandsons. Thank you Amazon.com; this book was hard to get; not even Barnes & Nobles had it anymore.

Joseph McClendon is the top trainer for Anthony Robbins. I saw both of them live. It is obvious why he is the best once you see him. His book is an explanation of Anthony Robbins work as well as an introduction to it. He shares his own painful experiences with racism and how Robbin's work helped him overcome that and many other goals. Want to be inspired and understand more fully how Anthony Robbins' material works? Here is a great place to start!

I actually read this book over 15 years ago as a teenager but some of the content was over my head. Yet it was helpful throughout my adult life. I recently ordered the digital version and finished the entire book over December! Great stuff and I enjoy how Joseph relates much of the content to black american history and its great leaders.

Read this book back in 2005. Has very compelling story in the beginning that will touch your heart. Very inspirational and challenge to those looking to get his or her life on the correct track.

Very poignant, informative, relevant and insightful.

I love the way this book is written, it's more like a one to one chat with the author than a 'lecture'. Lots of analagies and examples given to get the point across....a great read and my 'bible' I always keep pretty close by to dip in and out of. Highly recommended!

A powerful, interesting and must have read. I had been recommended this book by friends and tutors on my Black History Studies course and was not disappointed. A good way to start a new chapter in your life.
