Bought these to replace dying Wemo switches. Meross is flawless in HomeKit!
From the beginning my Wemo switches started failing and disconnecting from the app but I just dealt with it as it worked “just enough” to get going in HomeKit. Well they’ve finally died and looking for a replacement I found something from Meross that’s surpassed the Wemo in every way.The button action on the Meross switch is so much more tactile and assuring, I have a tp link kasa switch and the button on there feels like it might break. The LED Light is smaller and more subtle than the wemo and the connection to WiFi is way stronger. The install was super easy and the app connected really fast. The sound of the relay inside is also really satisfying in its click. The HomeKit integration is flawless. It connects perfectly with no issues and it reconnects quickly after power outages which was always a big problem with the Wemo. The switch is much smaller on the inside so there was less cramming of wires in the electrical box.I’ve had such a good experience with the Meross garage door opener that I looked to them for switches and they knocked it out of the park once again! They’ve been really stable in connection to WiFi and control inside HomeKit. I really like the matte plastic finish on it, my tp link kasa switches have a shiny plastic finish that I feel like gets scratched way too easily. Meross was smart to go with matte finish.

Great 3 way smart switch
Perfectly replaced my normal 3 way switches that I wanted to make smart with home/siri. Good responsive control. Easy to install if familiar with wiring and not intimidated by connecting 5 wires. Usually travelers 1 and 2 are at the top of a 3 way switch. Looks great with screw less decora covers. You can shop for some multigang (multiple switches in a row/utilitybox) switch covers here on Amazon there are many good ones. Seems good build quality and I like the placement of the home app code being on the front instead of the top like some other lights do, this way you only need to take off the faceplate to setup on app if you sell the house. For another light switch I bought you would need to unscrew and pull out the switch to see the top QR code which is less convenient. This switch is convenient.

The best I’ve tried so far
I have slowly been converting all my sockets, bulbs, and switches in the house over to smart devices as these things aren’t cheap.I have tried two other brands besides this Meross brand and this brand’s devices are far and away the best of the bunch. I don’t use Alexa or Google devices so it’s only an Apple HomeKit home for me (much more secure) but that very much limits the choices of smart devices you have available to you. I cannot remember the name of the first brand I tried but it was awful. They were such a pain to pair and connect and were not wifi but bluetooth. The bluetooth technology doesn’t react as quickly as the wifi so when you push your button or flip your switch, you have a painfully long second or so before the light comes one and that’s just silly. The second brand I have is by a company called WeMo and their technology is WiFi enabled so that is good. What I can’t stand about their products is their tendency to simply randomly drop connection with the Smart Home interface and take a long time to recover or reconnect. Most often than not they just drop off the grid for no reason and I have to go about the long process of removing the device from the Home interface, factory resetting the device, and then reconnecting the device to the Home interface. This is such a pain!!!!I have had zero issues with products from this Meross brand and have been loving everything that I’ve bought by them thus far. These three-way switches are no exception. I actually pulled out a three-way WeMo switch from the wall because the physical button just gave out one day and to actuate the switch you had to use your whole thumb or palm and about 5lbs of pressure; it was time to go! This switch was easy enough to install if you have a basic understanding and confidence of working with electricity (be careful to shut the power off at the panel box and have the right tools!) Once installed these switches worked perfectly. They are a joy to press and have a very tactile feel to them. They paired with my Apple Home in minutes and I haven’t had a drop in connection since installing them.I now own multiple switches and multiple light bulbs by this company and will continue to shop their line of smart devices. I’ve had good luck with the Meross and I hope you do too!

Works Great After NOT Using Channel 1 for 2.4GHz WiFi
I had a heck of a time adding this switch using Homekit. It would connect to my WiFi no issue but would not connect to Homekit. I have an older WiFi access point (Ubiquiti AP-AC-LR) and found someone on the UniFi form that said these switches would not connect well to 2.4GHz channel 1 for some reason. I was in fact using channel 1 and I found that when pinging the switch, I would get significant packet loss. I changed the WiFi access point to Channel 3 (yes I know you should use channel 1,6 or 11 to minimize overlap) and it connected immediately to Homekit and I had zero packet loss when pinging. I had no issues with other smart switches with Channel 1. Not sure if it is an Access Point Issue or the Meross Switch issue. So if anybody else is having issues, make sure not to use Channel 1 for your 2.4GHz WiFi. After the change it has been working great.

The switches do what they’re supposed to do
Needed a couple 3 way switches for 2 lights our son has a habit of leaving on. Installation was straight forward, setup went without a hitch even though we have a mesh system (Unifi) with combined 24 & 5 GHz bands. Really only 2 minor complaints: 1) switch housing is all plastic rather than having metal mounting tabs as is typical. Shouldn’t be an issue though. 2) would have preferred that the switch also supported Matter as that’s the latest technology, but I’m using HomeKit so it’s all good. Everything considered, it’s a good product that works as advertised, earning it 5 stars.
