These pencils are pretty awesome. Super smooth and writes nice and dark. I write with a bit of pressure and the lead doesn’t break. The colors are also super pretty. Price is great for the amount of pencils you get.

I recently purchased the 40-pack of BIC mechanical pencils, and I’m thoroughly impressed. As a teacher, I go through pencils quickly, and this bulk pack is a lifesaver. Each pencil writes smoothly and consistently, with no annoying lead jams or breakage. The #2 HB lead is perfect for standardized testing and everyday writing, and I love that I don’t have to constantly sharpen like with traditional pencils. The grip is comfortable enough for long writing sessions, and they come preloaded with lead, which is super convenient. The erasers work well without smudging too much, although they do wear down quickly with heavy use. Still, for the price and quantity, that’s a small trade-off. Love these pencils. They are not as wide as most pencils so they fit better in my choir notebook. Easy to grip. Dark enough print to read well. Perfect for making notations on sheet music during choir rehearsal. Erasers work well too. So glad I discovered these. Just donated boxes of regular pencils. I'll be using these from now on.

I’ve already gone through a good chunk of these since I bought them (included a pic to show I’ve really been using them), so I feel pretty solid in my opinion. The writing is smooth, the colors are fun, and they come in clutch when you need backups for school, work, or the kids. But a couple things keep this from being a 5-star buy: — The erasers wear down fast and sometimes leave smudges. — The clips break super easily if you’re someone who likes to hook it to a folder or notebook. Overall, they’re reliable and a great value for the price, but there’s just a little room for improvement. Would still recommend, just don’t expect perfection!

These work well. They are standard mechanical pencils, the writing is nice and there's plenty of lead in each. Having 40 means we have plenty to use for homeschooling, and my kids like them. The colors are good, but instead of so many of the same colors it could've been nice to have more variety (like a pink since that's everyone's favorite here).
